I Got Me An Awesome Gift

Indeed being a  “cougar” these days is getting to be real cool, hip and fab. As they say, if the “DOM’s” can do it, their female counterpart does it, too -  even better and bolder.   

While it is always believed that the money aspect is the one motivator for a young one to get involved with someone as old as her/his parents - or even grandparents, it is not easy for anyone to appraise such a relationship based on public perception alone - unless one is in the same boat, much like Passionate Lover PL.

More often than not, PL draws flak from the public at how unabashedly she proclaims her love to whoever is the current man in her life. While most people cringe at her public declarations, she is fearless and unstoppable. PL is a character – her own kind of woman.

Thus, it was no surprise when the public was scandalized yet again when the much senior PL proclaimed to the world how she fell in love with a Special Boy SB who was barely out of her teens. Known for ignoring her critics, PL proudly paraded her SB for the world to see, hinting that SB truly loves her - and not her money.

Recently on her social media account, PL posted a Luxury Item LI supposedly given by SB to her as a gift for her big day. The post could mean many things, but in PL’s, it was an attempt to sway public opinion that SB was only after her moolah and that he could afford anytime. Observers asked…was the public that gullible to believe her?

Here’s the gist. Allegedly, prior to PL’s big day, she and SB were sighted shopping at an upscale mall. They were very sweet as PL reportedly pointed to SB a pricey LI as her favorite. Then came one special day…lo and behold…LI was already at PL’s doorstep - SB bought it for her! PL was reportedly so proud of SB and couldn’t be more thankful that she posted it on her social media account.

But sources said that PL was hallucinating that she probably forgot that days earlier, she reportedly made a big deposit to SB’s account, specifically for him to buy that LI for her. Clap! Clap! How’s that for a recycled script?

Smart/Sun Network Typhoon Ruby Readiness

SMART & SUN are preparing for Typhoon 'Hagupit', which is expected to make landfall this weekend.  We continue to monitor the typhoon's movement, and plans are in place to maintain communication services and ensure speedy response and restoration should facilities be adversely affected.

We are prepositioning restoration equipment and personnel in the Visayas, Southern Luzon & Northern Mindanao regions.  The equipment includes generator sets and batteries that will support capacities of telecommunications equipment in the region, as well as equipment for free call and free charging services.  This will enable Smart-Sun to respond quickly to failures and community needs as they occur.

Rest assured that Smart & Sun are exerting all efforts to minimize, if not prevent, interruptions to vital telecommunications services that may be caused by typhoon 'Hagupit'.

All mobile phone users, meanwhile, are encouraged to:

1.  Fully charge cell phone batteries and ensure that you have airtime for at least 3 days.

2.  In the event of power outages, conserve battery power. Make judicious use of voice calls. Text messaging uses less power.

3.  Store emergency numbers in your cell phone -- family members you can call for help, television and radio stations where you can get storm information, and responding relief agencies like the National Disaster Coordinating Council, local government units, local police, local chapter of the Philippine National Red Cross, etc.  Keep a hard copy as well in case you run out of battery and need to use the numbers.

4.  Keep a battery-operated radio handy as well as spare batteries to make sure you stay informed about important news like evacuation warnings, storm updates, rescue developments, etc. in case electric and communication facilities shut down.

5.  Keep your cell phone dry.  Wrap it in plastic or use cling-wrap for easy use.

Is He Going Crazy?

Looks like the relationship between a controversial couple is getting to be too hot to handle. Despite their professions of love for each other, Young Upstart YU and Aging Performer AP are now beginning to see each other’s warts and all.

Let’s rewind a bit. Despite the controversies that hounded them in the first stage of their relationship, YU and AP struggled to prove themselves to each other and to the judgment of the critical public. The relationship between the two was controversial after AP's much-talked about issues with a past relationship.

But to their credit, AP and YU’s strong resolve made them weather the storm in their lives with aplomb. They wanted to prove their detractors wrong and quite succeeded at some point. That also saw their harshest critics slowly thinning in numbers, perhaps seeing the futility of their cause.

But as days passed, as YU and AP slowly get past into their honeymoon stage, so to speak - observers note a noticeable decline in excitement whenever the two are around each other. That early, YU and AP  are beginning to see each others’ warts and all.

There are reports that YU often gets irritated with AP’s over-jealous nature. It is said that AP’s insecurity is becoming worse and that YU is getting suffocated by it. Heard from the grapevine that YU is so pissed at AP’s constantly monitoring her whereabouts non-stop, sometimes with a suspicious tone at that, making her feel that he doesn’t fully trust her. Reportedly, such has been a constant cause of fights between them.

On the other hand, AP’s jealousy may have stemmed from YU’s colorful love life in the past, notably those alleged love triangles and group dates that she was reported to be a part of. Well, AP maybe scared to death that he might be caught off guard.

Where is AP’s suspicion coming from? Common friends teased AP that he is not exactly a saint either. To which some insiders quipped that really - " it does take one to know one." End of story
