Daniel Matsunaga Now a Permanent PH Resident

Daniel Matsunaga is now a permanent resident of the Philippines.
The “Pinoy Big Brother All In” big winner made the announcement on “KrisTV” on Monday, noting that all his documents have already been filed and he is now legally a permanent Philippine resident.
Matsunaga added that his sister, model Vanessa, is also fixing her own papers to become a Filipino resident. Vanessa has been married to a Filipino for four years now.
In a past interview, Matsunaga said his family has decided to move to the country after he won the hit ABS-CBN reality show.
"I'm planning to bring my whole family here. I want to stay here for the rest of my life," Matsunaga, who has been staying in the Philippines for five years, said at the time. "I'm just waiting for my father to retire from his job. He said maybe after two years."
Matsunaga’s father, who is based in Brazil, will retire from his job in less than two years.
As for his brother, Matsunaga said they are thinking to just send him to a school here in the Philippines. Matsunaga’s brother, who is also in Brazil, is currently taking up architecture.
Born to a Japanese father and a Brazilian mother, Matsunaga said he considers himself a "true Filipino," having identified with the culture in the country.
Following the approval of his permanent residency in the country, Matsunaga said he is petitioning next to become a naturalized Filipino.

Keeping It Low

Since time immemorial, Diehard Fans DF play a big part in the lives and careers of their idols. People say DF are powerful enough to make or break a celebrity’s career at will. DF’s are so passionate about their devotion to their idols that their lives revolve around them. These (popular) stars enjoy demigod status and as such believe they deserve all the perks and privileges – their fans included.
Unlike those of yesteryears, DF today are willing to spend big money to mount activities for their fans club all for the love of their favorite star. Others go as far as giving their idols expensive gifts like gadgets, home appliances, and the like. Still others mount grand events such as big parties and events for their star just to show how much they love their them – complete with gowns, hotel venue, food, plus the logistics – and that’s no small money. That’s how passionate and generous most of them can get.
Not too long ago, DF of two popular Love Teams LT1 and LT2 have tried much to be friendly and civil to each other not wanting to sow intrigues between their respective teams. But at times, situations can get over board and DF lose control, especially so when their idol’s interest is at stake – thus their resolve to be peaceful is challenged.
Reportedly, things started to heat up when comparisons were made between LT1 and LT2, as in comparing their respective looks, talents, fashion, popularity, summing up their overall personality. Everything would have been pretty normal, but it went to the extremes when even the profiles of each teams’ DF came into the picture. It was never the same since.
The latest incident was more affront which happened at the show of LT2’s Girl G2. Some DF of LT1’s Girl G1 were reportedly caught throwing coins at G2. It was by far the most despicable that G1’s DF can ever do at a rival. Aghast, G2 allegedly reacted strongly, didn’t waste time and reported the incident to Her Manager HM, who in turn immediately brought the matter to network Management Head MH.
At this point, management of both camps are reportedly hoping that the rift will be resolved soon. Well, it should be. After all, this is a no-win match for HM, except of course to keep both camps in the spotlight.

Just a Major Problem

She has been called a lot of names, including the harshest: that of allegedly being a desperate social climber with loose morals. But Controversial Personality CP, the epitome of strength amid crisis, endured and survived it all. She has to, after all she and her family had to survive.
When Her Ward HW got into showbiz, CP made sure that HW would enter with a big bang, as in she would be talked about everywhere endlessly. Whatever amount of negativity her family had, CP strived to delete and sanitized all of it, thereby projecting an image of wealth and upper class privilege.
Showbiz watchers remark that the hard life CP once had contributed a great deal to the strength of character and ambitious nature she now has. She is certainly astute as astute can be and an expert at life, including smart strategizing to benefit her interest.
Lately, CP has been reportedly so stressed out with a forthcoming occasion in the family – the much Awaited Event AE for HW. CP wants AE to be the biggest among all and would stop at nothing to make it colossal and grandiose. Critics lambast CP for overdoing things for HW’s AE when she (HW) isn’t even a big star to begin with. But CP doesn’t give a damn, reportedly, she wants HW’s AE to end all AE’s – that’s how determined she is.
But unfortunately, things don’t seem to go her way. Reportedly, CP went to the office of a Network Executive NE to talk to her to have a TV Special for AE. The request was allegedly not finalized as NE was non-committal, saying that a TV Special would be too expensive to mount at that point. Apparently, CP wanted AE televised much like how it was with another star’s. Indeed, how can she show off to the world her ward’s fabulous AE if it will not be televised?
