Repost: CLOY's Hyun Bin Secretly Donates 200M Won to Non-Profit Organization to Efforts Against Corona Virus

Actor Hyun Bin was belated reported to have donated 200 million won to the fight against the coronavirus and COVID-19. He had actually donated a week about to the non-profit organization, Community Chest of Korea, but no one had known about it because he had done it in secret.

He donated 200 million won (~$170,000 USD) but didn’t even tell his agency about it. He had reportedly asked the organization to keep quiet about his donation as well.

Hyun Bin had released a letter through his company’s Instagram, wishing his best for those affected by the virus. Reports claimed he had secretly donated soon after releasing the letter.

"You might be spending day after day anxious and worrying over the Coronavirus disease 2019 which is occurring all over the world and throughout Asia including China and Japan as well as Korea. I’d like to ask after your health at least by writing to express my worry over whether the place you are at is safe.

Just as we’ve always overcome difficulties by cheering each other on despite difficult times, I hope the Coronavirus disease 2019 passes by as soon as possible.

I also appreciate those working tirelessly day and night to eradicate the virus, and I will cheer them on until the end. Furthermore, I sincerely wish the quick recovery of those suffering from its infection.

Again, I hope all those reading this are able to maintain their safety and health from the virus and I will pray this incident safely passes by.

Ludicrous Actions

When the project was presented to Meticulous Actor (MA), he was informed that his role would be different from his usual cute and good boy image. The story called for many daring scenes that MA could not have imagined doing early in his career. However, his wanting to change his image was responded to by the said project.

While MA was reading the script, his mind was torn between acceptance and rejection, as he was feeling he was not ready to act out such role. In short, the possibility of being panned for lousy acting because his heart was not in the role reverberated in his head. However, his partner encouraged him to take on the part, saying that his role would remove doubts on his choice. Moreover, the challenging parts were the opportunities to show off his talent. Her opinion was supported by the management of MA, who said that the role was created with him in mind.

The role required MA to have many intimate scenes with Female Celebrity (FC) and the first shooting days focused on those physical scenes. Initially, MA was very uncomfortable. Thus, the intimate scenes had many takes, which worried the producer, as they were taking too much time. The longer the shoot, the higher the production expense. Finally, the producer and the director told MA to focus, as they could no longer afford delays.

MA did his best, but the production team noticed that after a good take of an intimate scene, MA would rush to the nearest bathroom. This behavior stirred the interest of some of the staff. One time, someone followed MA to the bathroom after an intimate scene was shot. Thinking that MA might have been turned on and wanted to continue in private, the staff still followed out of curiosity. MA did not lock the bathroom door and the staff was shocked at what MA was doing.

The staff saw and heard MA gargling with mouthwash, and he would have vomiting sounds every so often. MA was spending much time in rinsing off his mouth and wiping himself with alcohol. The staff then told what he saw to the production crew. Thus, they pondered if FC had bad breath or some mouth disease. Of course, a denial was issued, as FC has nothing wrong with her oral hygiene. Then, a kibitzer said that such behavior is usually done by gays who feel like their lips are burning when they’re kissing women. As everyone laughed, the head warned the crew not to tell anyone, especially FC, who might misinterpret the bathroom antics of MA and further cause delay in their shooting. Thus, from that moment, the crew no longer minded the antics of MA.
