TV5 Has New President, Chot Reyes to be Replaced by Jane Basas

Changes are in for TV 5 as Vincent ‘Chot’ Reyes is out as head of the station. His replacement will be Jane Basas, the President and CEO of Cignal TV.
Reyes, who is popularly known for his stint as the coach for various PBA teams and the national team, was appointed president of TV5 in 2016. Under his management, TV5 focused on sports, so as to gain advantage over the networks that focused on current affairs, soaps, and other shows. Moreover, his goal as head of the station was to reach profitability.
Meanwhile, Basas is a recognized media practitioner and has extensive corporate experience. In 2017, Basas was awarded as ‘Asia’s Media Woman of the Year.’

Not Make a Mistake

Neighbors in a residential building are wondering if the couple’s honeymoon period is over this early. Shouting between the couple has been heard every so often. The voices are quite loud and neighbors think someone might be high. However, unwilling listeners could not help but be sad at the sounds coming from the couple’s unit. By contrast, other neighbors are contemplating on filing a complaint as the voices are getting louder.
When Female Actress (FA) and Her Husband (HH) admitted they were a couple, many felt happiness for FA. After all, FA has been in many relationships that were scrutinized by the public, as she was a high-profile celebrity during the peak of her career. Moreover, many of those relationships ended in heartbreak and her exes would move on. FA would then concentrate on her acting assignments and wait for her true love to arrive. Thus, when FA and HH were seen together, positive wishes were sent their way. When their relationship led to marriage, friends, fans, and family were optimistic that FA found her happiness with HH, who might be familiar with showbiz, but is not part of the system. HH has a career of his own that is not directly linked to the industry.
While fights might be typical for married couples, what bothers the neighbors is the frequency. FA and HH might have realized certain truths that could lead to disagreements. Sometimes, things can be tough and lead to arguments. The effect of the fights seems to have taken its toll on FA. Allegedly, FA has been thinking of doing something that could end it all, that is, taking the plunge. People who found out about that idea are hopeful that FA would not lose hope, as she still has everything going for her and if things do not turn out for the better with HH, she can move on and avoid becoming a source of pain for her family, who has been through much in the past years.

Since the time Able-bodied Talent (AT) entered the network, a question as to why he has been getting good exposure has been circulating in the grapevine. Other than his looks, AT is not as talented as his contemporaries nor does he really fit in roles assigned to him. What was clear was that AT was getting projects ahead of talents who seemed more appropriate for his assignments.
While AT took advantage of his opportunities, the rumors of having Powerful Insider (PI) behind his career were whispered within the walls of the network. However, no one really minded the alleged relationship as no one wants to cross the path of PI. Getting on the nerves of PI would endanger one’s career and thus, no one dare confirm if something indeed is happening between PI and AT.
However, things seemed to have changed. Allegedly, AT has shown disinterest in his ‘relationship’ with PI. He’s not as warm as before and this attitude might seem to jeopardize his career. The twist, nonetheless, is more interesting. A reason justifies as to why AT seems to have had a change in heart. His interest has shifted.
According to rumors, AT has found a more influential and richer benefactor. His New Benefactor (NB) is not just an ordinary top-level executive, as NB’s word can be more powerful than anything at PI’s level says. Hence, AT knows his side and the one with whom he might just have better footing in his arena, that is, if he would be able to really get on the favorable side of NB. While NB is influential and colorful, her world is not the same as PI’s and AT should know that he would be taking a career risk.
As to PI, being a veteran in the industry, she could be aware that such things happen and there will always be another person who is more powerful, interesting, and moneyed. Such person will always attract opportunists.
