Megastar Sharon Cuneta is selling her megamansion in Calabasas, CA.

The popular Filipino singer, actor, spokesmodel, and TV personality also dabbles in real estate: Her Southern California home is on the market for $2.2 million.

Cuneta may have had a change of heart on the property over the past year. In 2014, she posted photos of the six-bedroom home on Facebook, calling it, “Home. Thousands of miles away. Our ‘happy place,’” adding a smiley face emoticon.

There’s plenty to smile about with this property built in 1997: The 6,610-square-foot estate hits a high note with a grand marble entry, custom library, chef’s kitchen with a breakfast room, formal living room with fireplace, family room, and numerous bedrooms.

Entertainment options abound. Step outside to an expansive lawn, relax under a covered patio, cook up a meal on the grill, or take a dip in the pool and spa, which include a waterfall.

And the singer had a connection to the area. She performed to a sold-out crowd in Los Angeles in 2005 and had spoken of someday retiring in the U.S.

But someday is not today, at least not for this Calabasas mansion. Despite the perks of California living, maybe for the 49-year-old, home is still in the Philippines.

An Exciting Behavior that Might Ruin their Loveteam

The New Year promises for big things to happen to this loveteam. Having had a successful partnership in 2015, this couple has a list of projects that their network is hoping that viewers will love as much as they did in the past year.

After constantly experimenting with various partners for Young Actor (YA), the network was surprised at the reception of the audience to his partnership with Newcomer Talent (NT). The presence of NT in the career of YA made the audience take a second look at the career of YA, which was not really moving. Although he has had several projects in the network, his career seemed stagnant as he was always doing the same cute roles. His previous screen partners could also not influence the direction of his career. Thus, in a network that thrives on loveteams, YA was the odd one out until NT came along.

NT was the epitome of the ideal talent. She has the looks and the charm that make people gravitate towards her. Thus, the moment she entered showbiz, people gave her the second look and asked who she was. That is such an achievement in a world where new faces are a dime a dozen. Easily, her light aura made people want to see NT more. After negotiations, NT secured her spot in the network and after being paired with YA, her career zoomed.

As fans clamored for reel loveteams become real, NT and YA were not at all spared. On screen, NT and YA were sweet. Of course, viewers know that such actions were probably scripted to play up the hopes of fans who believe so much in love. Given that people favor seeing people develop their feelings, the network gave opportunities for NT and YA to become cozier with fans. However, the couple denied that anything more was happening behind the scenes.

The attitude of denying that something deeper was developing between them earned praises for YA, as he seemed to be showing respect and gentleman-like ways. Fans loved them more for this attitude of waiting for the right time. However, recent alleged actions contradict this pronouncement. YA and NT have been claimed to be seen expressing affection openly towards each other. In short, a lot of PDA has been exhibited by the couple behind the cameras. While production people are supposed to be blind at such actions, some are embarrassed at the touchy-feely behavior of the two. Some fear that YA, who happens to be more experienced, might take advantage of NT. Others feel that NT has changed.

Although fans might be happy if NT and YA become a couple, both should be reminded that they do have a career to focus on. They are both young and could achieve much more without distractions from love. Besides, PDA behavior rumors could ruin the image of NT. Perhaps, someone should remind her that one mistake might end up everything the people around her have patiently built.
