Money Is Not Always the Right Motivation
Sometime ago, everything was set. Shows were lined up and presented to Talented Personality (TP). First, TP was going to be part of the panel of a franchise talent show. Second, another show for hosting was in the works. Third, TP was going to join a top rating weekly show of the network (N1). The projects would mean TP would have exposure and money for several years. Of course, there would be opportunities for more endorsements and appearing in movies. The proposal was unbeatable, as the terms were commensurate to the worth of TP in the industry. N1 wanted TP, as this celebrity is the only one missing in its stable of the best artists in the land.
As N1 waited for that elusive signature, TP took time to analyze the offer. When the present network (N2) got wind of the offer and that TP was contemplating on moving, the management presented terms that made TP think harder. While N1 offered money, N2 offered time. Matching all financial matters, N2 allegedly included a provision that guarantees payment for TP even if TP had no show. All TP had to do was remain with N2. The only thing they requested was for TP to remain as judge for a flagship show.
The choice between having money and having free time for family was a no brainer. After working for a couple of decades, which meant so many sacrifices, TP has been smart with earnings. As a result, TP has a comfortable life. Then, the partner of TP is highly responsible, and thus TP would have support if finance issues arise. Further, someone pointed out to TP that accepting the offer of N1 might lead to overexposure, and thus, fans will take the presence of TP for granted. If TP did accept the offer, then that would mean hours of rehearsals for shows and less time for family.
After studying which matters most, N1 can stop waiting, as the elusive signature will go on the dotted line for N2.

Repost: ‘Pastillas Girl’ Mother Shot and Killed in Caloocan
Source: www.newsinfo.inquirer.net/
The mother of a television noontime show star known as ”Pastillas Girl” was shot and killed Sunday night in Caloocan City.
A report by Radyo Inquirer said the victim, Teresa Yap alias ”Teteng”, was shot at the head from behind by one of several assailants as she and a companion were about to have dinner at a restaurant along Tagaytay Street.
Yap is the mother of Angelica Yap who is also known as ”Pastillas Girl” in the lunchtime program ”It’s Showtime” by ABS-CBN.
The victim was also a member of the barangay council of Barangay 137 in Caloocan City.
Radyo Inquirer quoted police as saying that the victim was immediately brought to a hospital but died around 9:20 p.m.
Police said they have a copy of a CCTV footage that could give valuable information on the killing. They added they still have to determine the motive for the murder.
”Pastillas Girl” became popular after she started looking for someone who could be her boyfriend through the noontime program ”It’s Showtime.”
But some of the episodes became controversial after a woman’s group complained that the show was allegedly making Angelica solicit a relationship.
This forced Angelica’s mother to come out in public to defend her daughter.

Repost: Mary-Kate Olsen Reportedly Marries Olivier Sarkozy in Private New York Ceremony

What little girl doesn't dream of hosting a wedding where guests have the opportunity to hasten their death?
Former child star-turned-fashion designer Mary-Kate Olsen reportedly married Olivier Sarkozy in a private ceremony in Manhattan on Friday, multiple outlets report. According to Us Weekly, it was a "small and lovely" outdoor affair where the couple said their vows in front of 50 people, including their parents.
But the real party apparently started once things moved inside. A source told Page Six that the event decor included "bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes, and everyone smoked the whole night,” which sounds like nothing if not an Olsen wedding. And, if true, that's all you really need to know, right?
Olsen, 29, and Sarkozy, 46 became engaged in February 2014 after dating for two years. Sarkozy, who is brother to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, reportedly popped the question with a 4-carat vintage diamond ring, purchased at a Sotheby's auction for more than $80,000 -- a surprisingly economical purchase considering the couple bought a five-bedroom townhouse for a reported $13.5 million in Turtle Bay Gardens in Manhattan's midtown area last year.
This is Olsen’s first marriage, while Sarkozy was married to children’s book author and freelance fashion writer Charlotte Bernard, with whom he has two children, from 1997 to 2011.
Congrats to the happy couple!
