The Loveteam that Would Not Reach Its True Potential

One can look at the situation as a sign of the excellent management of the network. By contrast, others might view it as a monopoly of sorts, in which the network has managed to sign up exclusively potential talents. Nonetheless, the network does make good its promise and up to a certain point, exerts effort to make their talents famous. Not all signed up talents become popular as expected and are left in the freezer until their contracts expire.

However, within one network, loveteams are causing headaches in the management. Unlike the station’s previous loveteams, fans are now adding to the problem. There was a time when the fans of, for instance, Network Discovery (ND) and Talented Actor (TA), did not have any conflict with other fan groups. Whenever ND and TA had a project, other fan groups supported the pair as they were united for the network.

Times have changed. In the process of cornering the youth market, the station struck a goldmine with Loveteam One (LO), comprising of Popular Young Actor (PY) and Controversial Celebrity (CC). Screaming fans always followed PY and when the chemistry between him and CC became evident, their partnership translated into gold. Soon, their projects were rating and bringing in money to the station. Their records sold well and achieved commendable sales in a couple of days. Endorsements were coming in left and right. Everything was going their way until Loveteam Two (LT) with Comebacking Hunk (CH) and Surprising Actress (SA) entered the picture.

The negative reaction via social media of the perceived competition between LO and LT was surprising. Instead of working together, various fan groups focused on thinking of each loveteam as a threat. Thus, comparisons became unavoidable and the fans rabidly exchanged views on the better partnership.

As nothing lasts forever and sustainability could be difficult at times, LT has allegedly overtaken LO in various endeavors. However, the network is not keen on drumming up such information for possible reasons. First, LO is quite popular and the fans mince no words when they defend the couple. Second, LO is still bringing in many endorsements. Third, LO is homegrown and their situation could reflect on the image of the network. Fourth, the network does not want to upset the handlers of LO.

Hence, even if LT is achieving more that LO, the choice is to keep quiet about it and not allow this partnership to flourish. It does not help that LT became popular because of another management company. Incidentally, the fans of LT could be as animated in defending the couple as the fans of LO. Sadly, instead of collaborating, the fans of LO and LT view them as competition instead of players on the same team.
