The Costly Affair

Stories have been going around that a power couple broke up. The wife (TW), who possesses one of the most beautiful faces in showbusiness, has had enough of the philandering ways of her husband, an intense actor (IA), who is known for his adept acting skills in dramas or comedies. Was this problem the reason why TW extended her vacation abroad?

Upon being confronted with the rumor that he was seeing another woman, IA admitted to TW that he was indeed involved in an affair with a young non-showbiz woman. TW was so furious that she made a hard decision, which was to break up from IA. IA vehemently asked to be forgiven, but TW was firm. However, splitsville was not going to be easy for the sake of their kids and perhaps, their endorsements as well. Thus, to keep the semblance of a happy family, IA and TW are still living in the same house, but retreat to different rooms.

Despite the years, IA still lands in the top five of male actors that people, regardless of age and gender, have a crush on. Meanwhile, TW has maintained her looks that brought prestige to the country a couple of decades ago. Raised abroad and tucked with a degree from a top local university, TW has made her mark in the business by portraying iconic roles and showing off her talent in performing.

Incidentally, prior to their marriage, IA has been known to have his way with the ladies. Other than his showbiz girlfriends, IA is known to be quite a womanizer. However, when he settled down with TW, which surprised people, as they never had a public admission of their relationship, he lived up to the expectations of a good husband and father. In fact, others have admired and considered their marriage as a model. The couple, who are in their 40s, are admired for their low profile and principled ways in raising their family. Praises are often heard when the public sees how well they have raised their children.

Friends of the couple are still hoping that IA and TW will get back soon. IA was so affected that he had to ask their close friends to intervene and to convince TW to take him back. Imagine the disappointment and disbelief once the couple admit they have indeed called it quits. The last thing that any married couple would want to happen is to separate, but as IA and TW are products of broken homes themselves, they should know how to handle this bump in their marriage.

Secret Rendezvous Leads to Glances at the Couple

After getting out of the country to escape from the controversy, young actress (YA) was allegedly spotted in a foreign country with her actor boyfriend (AB). Perhaps trying to avoid detection, YA was sporting obviously dyed blonde hair.

According to the source, YA and AB, who were accompanied by the mother of YA, looked like they were trying to register to get tied permanently. More interesting is the comment that YA allegedly had an obvious bump as well.

Although the country is quite far from the Philippines, it boasts of a sizable Filipino population, most of whom have intermarried with the locals. However, these Filipinos might not even know who YA is as she was not able to leave quite an impact as a star here.

Of course, it was puzzling to her followers why YA just left the country in a huff after leaving a trail of discontentment towards her former home network. While AB had been dragged into her hasty decision, people from his camp have refused to talk about the matter.

If indeed the news of YA being in that interesting stage was true, shouldn't AB be proud instead of trying to keep the matter private? He is a very public figure and although he does not generate as much intensity anymore as he used to, AB still owes the truth to his followers, especially to his loyal fans.

Stubborn Lady Actress Hates Harness!

In the era of special effects, the harness is used to create the illusion of flight of the characters in the movie or the teleseryes. Most actresses and actors as well as singers trusted the use of the harness to achieve the great effects of their program. For example, lead actresses such as Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera used the harness to achieve the flying effect of their Darna character with no qualms. Then, even a non-action star like Richard Gutierrez used the harness when he did his death-defying stunts in his teleseryes. In other words, when the harness is used, professionals are around to ensure the safety of the user. Hence, why was this reactive and stubborn lady actress (SL) so against with her using the harness in her short role in a soon to be released epic project?

It’s not just using the harness that seems to be bugging SL these days. She even allegedly cancelled her photo shoot for an endorsement because she felt she was too fat. Uh oh. Is SL worried that her “bulges” might be mistaken as a some sort of “bump?”

While SL has started her social network allegations with her mother studio, another industry insider (II), who just happened to be the head writer, has issued her side of the story. II has been in the business for more than a decade and has been trusted by the major networks to come up with the scenes and dialogues to make the actors look good.

In reply to SL, II has revealed her frustration over the ways SL approached her issue. II believes that such complaints against the network should have been coursed through the proper and professional channels within the conference rooms and not in a public forum for the world to know. Hence, what SL overlooked was the damaging effect of her allegations to the network that discovered her.

According to II, SL did arrive at the appointed time. Then, it took two hours to put on her makeup, fix her tattoos, and costumes. Thus, by the time she was ready, it was the dinner break for the crew. Naturally, the crew had to eat or else the production would be so awful. We all know how grumpy and inefficient hungry people could be. To make matters worse, SL refused to use the harness! Thus, II had to think of ways to simplify the crucial scene just to accommodate SL’s demand. A scene cannot be changed in minutes, by the way.

What puzzled the production was that the script was sent to SL even before the shoot, and the assumption was that she should have already read and be familiar with the demands of her role. Hence, she should have requested for changes prior to her taping day. The flight scenes were essential because SL had a non-human role that required special effects in the fight scene. Hence, without the illusion of flight, the scene would be ordinary.

Contrary to the claim of SL that it was already 4:00 am when they shot her scene, and she left by 5:00 am, II replied that the production team was already calling again at 2:30am because SL already “walked out.” Thus, SL had allegedly left even before 2:30am!

Now this issue with SL has gone beyond the harness. It has grown into SL’s word versus the production’s testimony, and SL against her network. Between a start up talent who has shown her true colors this early and the seasoned production team of a network, who would be more believable? With SL, why did she refuse to use the harness, anyway? Was the stunt too dangerous? Too dangerous for whom? Perhaps the answer can enable people to understand her ways.

Daniella Barretto Breaks Silence About Aunt Claudine Barretto

Daniella Barretto, the eldest daughter of Marjorie Barretto, admitted that she was offended when her aunt Claudine said on TV that she is ungrateful and without good manners.

Claudine made the statements after she felt that Daniella’s posts on Twitter last week were in reference to her. Claudine and Marjorie are currently involved in a feud, which also includes their other sister, Gretchen, and the rest of their family.

In an exclusive interview with “The Buzz” which aired on Sunday, Daniella said she was more hurt than mad at what her aunt said of her.

“She said na wala na daw siyang pakialam sa akin kasi bastos daw ako and wala akong utang na loob. Pinahiya niya ako. Sira na ako agad sa mata ng tao. Hindi pa nila ako nakikilala, she already made people believe na wala akong utang na loob and bastos ako… [Pero] mas nasasaktan ako than nagagalit ako sa kanya,” she said.

According to Daniella, Claudine only misinterpreted her posts on social media because the tweets weren’t really meant for the embattled actress.

“When she came out on TV, she released other tweets of mine that weren’t really for her. Actually last year ko pa yatang mga tweets 'yun. But I’m already answering it now – it wasn’t meant for her,” she said.

Asked if she was really bashing Claudine on Twitter, Daniella said, “No. I have no idea where that came from. When she was interviewed during Mother’s Day, I saw my mom cry. And then doon na ako – alam mo 'yung anak ka eh. Ide-defend mo 'yung nanay mo. I did tweet something that day. But I realized that I shouldn’t so I erased it right away. But she saw it.”

“After her interview, haters were non-stop, below the belt 'yung mga sinasabi like wala kang modo, mukha kang kabayo, pangit ka. So nag-tweet ako. And she said that pinalaki niya kami, wala daw akong utang na loob. And doon na-offend ako for my mom because my mom never left, she was always here. Sinabi ko na walang ibang nagpalaki sa amin kundi mommy ko. Doon siya na-offend,” Daniella added.

Daniella stressed that she never denied what Claudine has done to help their family.

“I thank her for everything that she has done for my family, when she’d take us out, when she’d shower us with so many gifts. Hindi ko naman dine-deny 'yun. Hindi ko naman sinabi na hindi siya naging parte ng buhay ko,” she said.

Responding to Claudine’s remark that she was the one who “drew first blood,” Danille said, “I don’t think so. The first time I tweeted, she thought that it was for her. I wasn’t attacking her. That’s two different things – attacking somebody and defending somebody. I was just defending my mom.”

After keeping quiet for the longest time, Daniella said she is only breaking her silence now because she feels that what’s being said is “too much already.”

“Ayaw na namin makisali eh. We stayed neutral by keeping quiet but then this one, it was direct attack sa akin na. Parang teka lang naman, bakit biglang ako na? We could have talked about this over the phone. I would have explained myself. But wala na, parang lumabas lang siya sa TV,” she said.

Daniella, who admits she was close to Claudine when she was younger, is Marjorie’s daughter with Kier Legaspi.
