Looking for Mr. Right

Her presence in most of DH’s shows and gigs kind of baffles some people around because of her and DH’s respective status and age gap, if you get the drift. DH maybe single, but he is reportedly seeing someone. Photos of them together are on the social networking sites.
On the part of SG, observers are quite bewildered why she seems not to have a really lasting and serious relationship. Most girls even envy her that despite not being so pretty, she had dated quite a number of the most eligible bachelors in town. Her friends come to her defense against her bashers saying that with all the dirt thrown at her, SG is a charming and loyal friend.
But her bashers just won’t stop especially when SG unabashedly flirted online with a Hot Media guy HM. At that time, SG was really bent on pursuing HM, but he politely turned her down and her advances – something that her bashers did not let pass and gloatingly threw unprintables at her.
Deliberate or not, SG seems to invite critics to herself. While others say she thrives on it remains to be proven. At any rate, she knows and believes she has what it takes to make it – and she is definitely walking her talk.
On the other hand, if DH won’t watch out, he might be dragging himself into SG’s net – something his new girl won’t be happy about. On the other hand, only DH can control girls like SG to stop ululating over him.

Then being handled by Annabelle Rama, JC was considered quite a big star in Kapuso network. Until Annabelle deemed it wise to seek TV5 for JC after her controversial feud with then Kapuso's powerful executive PE, Wilma Galvante.
It was fruitful move to Kapatid, but only for a while - as JC's projects slowly waned when bigger stars continued to pile in the Kapatid network. The presence of Ms. Galvante as the new head of TV5's entertainment division further compounded JC's woes, along with Annabelle Rama's decision not to renew anymore their management contract.
Where to go? In the BI, it said - UA will indeed move to another network. So there you go.
Kapamilya provided the much-needed shot in the arm that will give UA’s dying career a new lease on life. This morning ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio welcomed newest Kapamilya JC de Vera. Now under the helm of a new manager, Leo Dominguez, JC inked a two-year-contract with Kapamilya in the presence of several network executives.

The Fun Buddies

BG has incurred the ire of quite a lot of people in the industry for being too forward and crafty for comfort. BG tries her best not be out-scooped by anyone, especially with arriving foreign artists. At any rate, and to be fair to her, she makes up for the annoyance by trying to be charming and friendly – knowing that she is in the business where she has to watch her back often, for self-preservation.
One of those whom BG is so friendly with is LB, a veteran media personality who also has his own share of controversy. The two may have struck something, as they are often caught exchanging sweet glances at each other at work. For all its worth, BG doesn’t seem to mind, even the age gap.
One weekend while BG was cued on her radio show, LB was spotted within the vicinity of the station. People wondered out loud why was LB at the area when he doesn’t have any work or event on weekends. Turned out, LB was there for BG. Immediately after her show, BG was seen walking towards LB’s room and spent some few moments there.
Soon after, BG was spotted emerging from LB’s room with disheveled hair and looking happy. Surely, the loneliness of singlehood must be fast catching up on LB.

The Very Determined, Angsty, and Gritty Talents

Several years ago, underrated actor UA was the toast of his network - looks, talent, and popularity, he had it then. However, UA realized that he would always be third in line as the network had two prized and more popular hunks. A major incident with a powerful executive PE ended his career in the network, and severed his ties with PE. Thus, UA bolted out and moved to another network (AN).
As promised, UA was given solo projects in AN. However, his fame slowly waned as his projects did not generate the expected viewership. Adding to his woes, AN continued to recruit other bigger-named celebrities, and worse, AN hired PE for a position that will affect the future of UA. Poor UA, his contract with his manager had already expired, and there is no news as to the plan of AN for him.
Unlike UA, reclusive actor RA was extremely successful in his transfer to a big network BN. As soon as he moved, BN used its public relations machinery to generate interest in RA, and he was immediately cast in a teleserye. In a few weeks time of airing, RA became a household name as the program was a big hit. However, RA was a disaster when it came to dealing with the press. He did not welcome questions about his life. After a not-so-encouraging second major project, RA shunned the press more.
While nothing has been heard about RA in the past weeks, stories circulated that he might be moving to another network.
While AN and UA are recognized actors, gritty host GH has made a name by being a fixed face in the hosting chores of his network. Regardless of the type of show, GH can stand on his own and deliver a competent job. However, as his network seems to be bent on refocusing its programs, GH is not as visible these days. Sometime ago, GH posted something in his social networking account that was interpreted as his way of saying that he was about to move on to something new.
Behind every cloud has a silver lining, but fate has something different for UA, RA, and GH. UA will indeed move to another network, where he and RA will do a show. Thus, this project will end speculations that RA might move again. RA still has a live contract with his current network, and thus, leaving is not an option. Finally, as for GH, well, his emoting spiel did not generate anything. In other words, GH stays put for now.
Who are UA, RA, and GH? Will they find that elusive satisfaction in their careers soon or will showbiz be better off without them?
