Just Another Gig
While
other older stars would cringe at certain misbehaviors, LA found them
cool and fun - such that every time she was found to be misbehaving or
doing things unacceptable, LA just shrugged them off. To her credit, she
has that charm that appeals to the public, the masses, the fans. She
also uses her charm to cover up her shortcomings.
It
is public knowledge how unstoppable LA is - there’s nothing she
wouldn’t do for the money and stardom. Actually, at her age now, she
doesn’t have to “work” as hard to get by. But no, being complacent is
not her cup of tea. Hear this:
According
to the grapevine, LA’s latest hook up is a network executive NE.
Allegedly, LA visits NE in his condominium unit whenever NE needs her.
LA obliges everytime - but on her own terms – NE has to cough up a few
hundred thousand for her services.

Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz's It Takes a Man and a Woman' is Highest- Grossing Filipino Film
The movie - It Takes a Man And a Woman – has officially dislodged Sisterakas as the highest grossing Filipino film, as it has now conquered the top spot in the all-time list released by independent box-office tracker Box Office Mojo.
It Takes A Man and A Woman - a romantic comedy movie which stars box-office royalties Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz has surprisingly climbed the top spot with a record-breaking P401 Million in gross receipts.
Sarah and John Lloyd thanked their fans and the moviegoers for the overflowing support.
The
movie is graded ‘A’ by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB), and raked in
P32.6 million when it opened on March 30. There was no stopping from
there when the “Laida and Miggy” tandem earned P100 million on the
fourth day and eventually hitting the P200 million mark in only eight
days. The unbelievable but undeniable success of the movie earned P300
million in just two weeks in cinemas nationwide.
It
Takes A Man And A Woman – is the third and final series that broke the
records of the first two installments of the most successful Filipino
romantic-comedy movie series. The first Laida-Miggy film A Very Special
Love grossed P179.3 million in 2008 and its sequel You Changed My
Life scored P225.2 million in 2009.
Just what made the Laida Magtalas and Miggy Montenegro played by Sarah and John Lloyd tick with the public?
Real chemistry - both say that they can already feel each other’s onscreen emotions.
Theirs
is in the same vein as Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon during
their time. Vilma and Christopher had starred in 22 movies in a span of
28 years. They first appeared together in Celso Ad Castillo’s Tag-araw
sa Tag-ulan in 1976 and their last film was Mano Po 111: My Love in
2004. Most of these movies made money and were critically-acclaimed -
earning numerous awards and distinction in many award-giving bodies.
Although
the Sarah and John Lloyd series may not be as deep in content - its
concept has a target market that reacted and trooped to the cinemas
overwhelmingly.
Their
tandem is magical. Their ability to transcend sparks and butterflies to
the big screen is the one factor that nailed the movie’s success.
Theirs
is a love team that has credibility - fans know that they are not being
fooled and shortchanged into believing that something more than
cinematic exists between the two lead stars. Certainly, both Sarah and
John Lloyd have deep regard for each for each other and respect each
other's space.
Further – it is a
working tandem that is so light and very professional. Inspite of
Sarah's limitations, the public is accepting.
In
the absence of real-life relationships going on in each’s Sarah-John
Lloyd and Vilma-Christopher tandems – such loyalty and support from the
fans and the public can not be over-emphasized. In any language, it's
growth and maturity.
Sarah's
wholesome image and her "failed" relationships added to her mystery
even more. Inspite of being sheltered and thought of as someone not
knowing "pain", she is able to come across as a credible actor.
Sarah has
“grown” after their first two movies. On their first two movies together
- A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life - there were scenes where
it felt like the two will actually kiss yet it never happened.
John Lloyd is officially her first onscreen kiss - a real kiss - Sarah herself confirmed.
We wish to congratulate Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz for the well-deserved feat!

Can't Kill The Pain
Acting is the ability to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
For any actor to accomplish this, there are some methods used.
In acting workshop, it is called Sense Memory. It is one of the tools of an actor, an acting technique used to experience an “emotional recall.”
The conventional use of sense memory helps actors create physical conditions — for example, the feeling of being slapped, a bad toothache, or a broken arm. It is a method that enables actors to use their emotional release objects on demand. The actor revisits an episode — the ticking of a clock, a hair-pulling incident - and on the spot begins to sob, laugh, or even shake with fear. It's a powerful emotional acting tool when mastered.
On the set of a new teleserye, privileged star PS who was once romantically linked to a dramatic actor DA was going to act out a scene that required for very intense anger. Before her scene, she called her assistant to get her handbag and PS took out something from there.
While internalizing and doing sense memory, PS was seen holding and looking fiercely at a photo of DA. Those who saw her knew in an instant what the photo meant to her at that point.
While DA is happily going through life enjoying his many blessings, PS’ pain and trauma from that relationship hasn’t really left her one bit. But if only for the consolation, at least, she gets to use DA’s photo as a tool.
“Life's like a play; it's not the length but the excellence of the acting that matters. “ ~ Seneca

Some Pleasant Massage
The
physical and mental demands of showbusiness are not for everyone; the
long hours of waiting, memorization of script, getting into character,
not to mention the technicalities while taping, one couldn't possibly
handle all of that for long periods of time without taking a break.
Pretty
Boy PB is a highly visible face on television, the big screen, as well
as in billboards in the metro. Armed with grace and undeniable
good-looks, we can only imagine how he stays blooming inspite of his
schedule.
AA
is someone similar to PB, except that he has more depth as an actor.
Both of them are staple faces in every form of media, and for that, the
audiences remain positively enchanted. What then, is the secret of both
these good-looking actors, who inspite of being sleep-deprived, still
manage to appear astonishingly blooming?
Apparently,
the secret is a good massage. Some celebrities have them on the set
during taping breaks, others prefer going to the massage salon
themselves for maximum relaxation. Still others want the privacy of a
home service - and AA and PB are very much into it.
But
a good massage doesn't seem satisfactory enough for these gentlemen,
they also require extra service during these house calls - if you catch
my drift. Both are reportedly clients of two attractive male masseurs
who regularly visit and service them in their respective homes. Uh oh -
there goes the secret.
