Crossed Paths

Before this host (H) goes full blast on her latest program, she opted to go abroad and ride the waves of a Pacific island. On the same plane going to the vacation spot, another passenger (P) was on his way to the show of the network on the same island. Imagine their surprise (and perhaps, the other passengers who recognized them) when they found themselves within seeing distance from each other in the business class.

Throughout the whole flight, neither said a word, not even a “Hi!” was exchanged. P totally ignored H and there was no indication that he even acknowledged her presence. Both behaved like strangers regardless of the past they shared.

Is P still hurting from what H did? Was it mere coincidence that they were both on the same flight? Was H hopeful that she would be able to make peace with him while they were abroad and away from the press? However, H did not visit P in the show anymore even if others anticipated her presence.

The career of this female discovery of a talent search (F) never really took off yet her name gets into controversy. The hottest one was her alleged pregnancy courtesy of a politician (P). She denied there was something happening between her and P at that time. The photos below show why F could have gained notoriety for getting into controversies and why her career never went far. She really knows how to party with the boys and the girls, regardless of nationality and country. Such behavior is something her network will definitely not like.

Puzzling Confirmation?

The tweet says: "I am weird. I love everybody. Again, I am....Guwapito :D"

Is the performer (P) revealing and confirming something in her social networking account? When P had a major change in her looks, she became the talk of the town and speculations about her preference hounded her. P simply brushed these comments and questions aside by saying that she is who she is and that she was merely showing her other side as well.

What TV Viewers Missed in the Q&A Portion

During the Q&A portion, the contestants appeared to have better answers than in the previous contests. It seemed that the contestants were given the questions beforehand so they could better prepare. Perhaps, the organizers were trying to avoid moments when contestants could not give answers out of nervousness or inability to understand the question. However, there were scenes that were edited out prior to the airing on TV. Here are some of them:

Candidate A was asked by one of the foreign judges her definition of happiness. She began by describing the Philippines. Of course, everyone, from the host to the judges to the madame organizer (M), was stunned. M and the other BPCI members signalled for a repeat. The foreign judge asked the question again. After apologizing, A was able to answer the question.

Candidate B projected confidence prior to being asked. She even sang a Spanish song before answering but this was not shown on air anymore. Her question was about social media. After her first statement, the audience waited and waited and waited for the next sentence. The first and second rings sounded but B said no more. Again, M asked for a repeat. In the second attempt, B was able to answer but it was not a brilliant one. Still, B ended among the winners. This verdict left the coliseum audience asking why she even got a place given her inability to answer.

Candidate C was asked how she could show the rest of the world why it was more fun in the Philippines. By this time, the audience were already shouting as they were still recovering from the initial answer of A. C was able to answer but her effort did not land her any place.

Not airing these actual scenes deprived the TV audience from seeing how the contestants were unable to withstand the pressure of the Q&A (and how they could have recovered from it). More importantly, these edited scenes spared the contestants from gaining fame via viral videos poking fun at their miscues.
