Surprising Relationship of the Actor and the Director

Award-winning Actor (WA) has been in the business long enough to generate a respected following that transcends all types of viewers. In particular, WA is known for his versatile acting, in which he could play the underdog and the villain with as much intensity. No wonder, whenever WA has a movie or has a stint in teleseryes, much is expected. However, WA is not the movie star who is hounded by fans wherever he goes. He has other priorities other than acting, and he does not really have the looks of a matinee idol, who can get mobbed by unruly fans.

WA has had his share of controversies that ranges from politics to his sexual orientation. While his acting career has reached a level of success even in the international arena, WA became controversial when he was linked with well-known thespian (KT). KT is still among the favorites of the gossip mill when it comes to same sex relationship rumors. When KT made what seemed to be a simple statement of gratitude directed to WA, who had no connection to the source of KT’s recognition at all, the public took it as a sign of some sort of admission of their special friendship. However, as KT is protected by a well-oiled publicity machine, no follow up as to what KT meant was ever made.

At present, WA is still visible on television and in movies every so often, and has kept his life quite private with allegedly a topnotch director (TD). TD is considered an institution as far as directing is concerned. Considered as a discoverer and manager of talents as well, TD is known for his dramas and ability to motivate his actors to give their best in such scenes. In fact, TD is a favorite of the best actresses in local movies throughout his colorful career.

If WA and TD are indeed an item, then could the statement of KT a few years ago actually implied something? While rumors will continue to hound KT, WA is living the life he opted to have and be happy with TD.

Different Ways for Different Hunks

Society thinks that being gay is just a sexual issue, no real love apart from lust – with some exceptions of course. There are a lot of gays who are very much like the heterosexuals when it comes to expressing love and emotion – they love romantic dinners and conversations, they hug and take walks together, watch a movie - everything.

Local show business is populated by gays, like their presence you'll find from top to bottom, starting from the upper echelons of power. Needless to say, they wield so much power that any newbie but enterprising talent will find hard to resist. You want stardom? Then go by the flow.

When it comes to sexual expression, gays are the most creative lot. Most of them are not into routine and bed sex all the time as they find it boring. Excitement is what defines them. They say some gays inject drama and real life into their performance, that's how fierce they seem to be.

Prominent Director PD does not fail to cast in his projects any hunk that catches his fancy, especially those that he has relationship/s with. PD had an affair with Hunky Starlet HS such that HS was always present in PD's movies. But beyond the passion for his work, talented and powerful PD is a secret and funny masochist in the dark.

At home, PD seems to put to life the script and story of his movies. Back then with HS, PD's fetish was to dress and act like a woman. He wore dusters, would cook, do the laundry, and then as if on cue, HS would barge in the house and hit PD violently, with bottomless tears to boot – a scene which would end in hot sex after. That’s right, PD’s masochism is his favorite tool.

Now that HS is history, PD has a new conquest in Hunky Newcomer HN who is a thousand times hotter than his ex. Obviously, HN knew he would be fair game and welcomed to play with PD’s advances. In one taping day, some of the staff of the show saw shadows from outside the tent where PD and HN were. They came closer and was shocked with what they saw. Even as HN was still in costumes, PD couldn’t wait and soon got busy ’working’ on him.

Peeking at Love in Disguise

It is sometimes baffling how some people are led to do the things they do, most especially if it is out of their character. Bigshot Director BD is well-known for being a loving husband, a visionary director-- a perfectionist in his craft. His is the image that fits the cookie-cutter of a successful person in the industry perfectly. But as they say, everyone has two sides, one good and one -- well, one that leaves much to be desired.

We can say the same thing for Stunning Actor SA. Most people, especially the ladies (including the ladies at heart), are drawn to him for his irresistible charm, the surprising humility on and off screen, same for his undeniable talent, having won multiple awards and gaining a huge following in the course of his career as a thespian.

Now, you may ask, "What did these fascinating men, who seemingly have no immoral fiber in their system, do?"

Well, Unfortunately, BD's wife has had suspicions of his husband's infidelity towards her, as such that she has now started to secretly follow him around to figure out for herself what really is, going on. One fateful day of tailing her husband in and around the set, she saw SA enter the OB van her husband was taking his break in. A few minutes later, she followed him, and upon entering the van, saw with her own eyes the intimacy that BD and SA shared that's usually reserved for lovers. She fled the scene, absolutely horrified of what she had just witnessed.

Here we are left to speculate as to what kind of star BD really is in search for. But we hope that, someday he makes up his mind so as not to break anyone's heart, for all parties to come out in the end as the real winner.

When Sweet Roses Paint Betrayal

Not so young hunk actor HA started in the entertainment business for many years now, beginning  as just one of those sex symbols undressing his sexy leading ladies on screen while baring those wavy muscles before the admiring public. Through the years he has shown admirable talent apart from just being physically endowed.

His huge fans and followers alike swooned over him especially during the height of his popularity. He was fortunate enough to be handled by the most competent and brilliant of directors who honed his talent and starred him in projects that slowly showcased his marvelous transformation as a serious actor.

Being young, sexy and in-demand, HA was of course desired and fantasized by girls and gays alike. And HA seems to be cool and accepting of just about  anything never allowing anything to limit him – including gay propositions.  One of his early benefactors was a well-known businessman  BM. HA and BM who were together for many years were mutually in love with each other with the generous BM spoiling HA with everything HA fancied. 

But some good things never last, as the cliché goes – and off they parted ways amicably. The adventurer HA went hopping from one relationship to another whoever gets his fancy. Inspite that HA’s not that young anymore, he remains to be irresistible. HA willingly obliged to be the latest conquest of a controversial scion of showbiz royalty: Jane-came-lately JC, who also happens to be one of BM’s  “amigas,” - something that didn’t sit well with BM. 

Although feeling hurt and betrayed by JC, BM couldn’t care less anymore even and especially so that the wandering HA has hopped once more to a new benefactor – a quiet and unassuming director DR, another offspring from a conservative showbiz family.

To Whip Up and Keep His Desire

After the network NE launched its new roster of talents , rumor mill was abuzzed with talks of a budding relationship between a newbie personality NB and a person of influence PI. But contrary to what’s being circulated, the rumor, err -- the relationship is nothing new.

Even before the talent launch, one of its personalities NB was already getting its share of controversy. The truth is that even when NB was still in the competition in a reality show RS, he had already caught the attention of PI. PI was said to be so attracted and enamored with NB that he committed to himself to take care of him once he was done with the RS - win or lose.

PI is known to be a generous benefactor to whoever catches his fancy (read: boylets BY). Being in a position of influence, he can easily cast in his project/s whoever he wants, much more if it is a BY he is currently fascinated with. And when it comes to promises made to his BY’s, PI definitely delivers. Proof? Right after NB got out of RS, PI lost no time and immediately cast him in one of his shows. If that is not walking the talk, then what is? Such is PI’s reputation.

His latest conquest, NB is now reaping the fruits of being under his TLC. As long as he “behaves,” NB will never be lacking in projects - just like what the other BY’s before him were.

Arrogant Director

When the proud director (PD) was starting out, he managed a string of hits in the box office that he declared himself as an heir apparent to a well-acclaimed director. This declaration was not well taken by the industry people and he was branded as too assuming. After all, he was very young then, while the well-acclaimed director had already directed some of best movies, now considered classics, in Philippine cinema. Some actually criticized how PD dared to compare himself with the said director when he had yet to direct an epic movie. However, since there were not enough skilled and talented directors during his time, he did his work and continued his box-office draw. In fairness, he did some good movies but he still has yet to direct a movie that would be critically-acclaimed like a Brocka or a Bernal.

Years later, PD had established his name and has directed the movies that launched the careers of some of today’s stars. He also ventured into directing telenovelas and he managed to pull through difficult and monumental dramas. Then, he joined the bandwagon and moved on to another network. Other than directing, he was given new tasks in the new network and had more exposure as well.

Despite the years, however, PD still continued with his effrontery. A few weeks ago, PD got hysterical and berated a network insider (NI) when something did not go his way. There was a delay in his salary and he blew his top at NI who was not even in charge of disbursing his salary. PD allegedly called NI b*b* during a taping and complained why he did not know anything when he is supposed to be holding a position. NI, however, kept his cool and did not engage PD in a shouting match. NI simply replied, “Hindi kami b*b*.” Hence, taping was unduly delayed because of his hysterics.

Well, although it was supposed to be a good movie, his most recent directorial job did not do well at the box office.
