DeleteThey built a community din (ARMY) which is a huge part of their success because they were able to connect with a lot of people, not just music but shared experiences. It's why the fans give back so much. I think this is something na di maintindihan ng casual listeners or BTS and other kpop haters. Yes, there are toxic fans in every fan groups but they will never understand the community unless they're in it so shut up na lang sana, hindi yung napaka-mean at ang daming sinasabi.

Kpop is under the pop genre so a lot of the focus is on mass appeal and blending different genres. Singing is a small part of music. If I want to hear the best singers I would go to the Opera. Half of the singers you mentioned are not even professionally trained like Whitney who I think is more of an overhyped street singer.

Nakakahiya naman sa bts mo na professionaly trained singers pero ang baba ng standard.

SINGERS-songwriters na hindi biritera pero marunong kumanta. Nagbigay lang ng well-known singers, hindi ibig sabihin mahilig lang ako sa mga bumibirit.
I listen to kpop, jpop and jrock as well. Minsan icelandic music pa nga like Bjork and Sigur RÃģs.
Anyways, my preference in music has nothing to do with me calling out na lacking in singing talent ang idols nyo. lol
SHINee talaga ang pinaka talented na kpop boygroup.

I cannot with the comments. ARMY here since Dynamite days. It was unexpected that I became one kasi initially nakokornihan ako sa kanila. Pero nung narinig ko na ung entire discography nila, it hit so hard. Their Korean songs are better kasi siguro it’s in their mother tongue. (Wag nyong sabihin na di ko naiintindihan ang korean, kasi may english translatation naman mga songs nila). Pero kahit pa BTS fan ako I still like Western artists and music pati na ibang KPOP Groups and artists. Is one better than the other? Not really, cause any form of ART like MUSIC, is subjective. Bottom line, like who you like and don’t mind the others. In Tagalog, walang basagan ng trip.
ReplyDeleteako di ko rin bet nung una. pero hindi naman ako naging basher. eh kung yan ang gusto ng mga tao as long as hindi naman bad influence sa fans nila eh di goods na rin. then nung naging fan ako nung pandemic, dun ko lang naintindihan bakit ganun na lang ang love na nare-receive nila sa fans.
