The moment Management Office (MO) boldly declared having signed many respected celebrities under their wings, the bosses were praised for the catch. MO was feted as their team showed much promise to develop the careers of their talents. Industry movers hoped MO would deliver on taking care of their talents.
Time passed and MO indeed delivered. Fans were happy as they were able to see more of the talents under MO’s management. Alas, consistency was amiss. Soon, some talents decided to drop out of MO’s care. Although no bad blood was reported on the ending of ties, kibitzers theorized what happened to MO.
Allegedly, the handling of affairs was sub-par and the projects were not coming in. A showbiz career is no different from other business transactions. Hence, talents need to be marketed so the interest can make these talents bankable in other aspects, such as endorsements.
Before mismanagement could worsen, some talents decided to move on quietly. Rather than fuss over the leaving, MO opted for silence. Even if rumors blamed certain personalities for the disappointing outcome, MO remained quiet. After all, maintaining ties with talents and keeping their friendship seemed more important.

Yan ang hirap kapag maraming mga talents hindi naman lahat nabibigyan ng projects, tapos may favoritism pa. Kahit siguro nakipag collab sila yung mga talents pa rin ng ka-collab nila ang mas sisikat. Pustahan pa tayo.
ReplyDelete12:32 agree ako sa sinabi mo, pero hindi naman lahat ng artists na nabibigyan din ng break ay sumisikat talaga. Kung walang appeal ung artista sa masa, wala rin magagawa ang promo/hype na ginagawa ng management para sa artist na yun.
DeleteIndustry problem rin ito. Only two major networks tapos konti lang ang viable airtime. Tsaka meron rin shows na tagal sa prime time slot like P. Andaming pwedeng bagong programa at bagong artista na pwede umangat kung hindi sila playing safe
DeleteI dont agree sa "favoritism". Actually observation ko sa bawat network is tinitest nila mga talents nila kung kakagatin ba ng masa. Kapag hindi, sorry na lang. Nagiging paborito lang sa paningin natin dahil sila ang nag aakyat ng pera. ITS BUSINESS!...

Parang deadma lang naman ung may ari ng agency.. and totoo na maintained nila yung relationship with the talents..

ReplyDeleteThis is M's mgt group. Parang too early naman kasi to handle talents. Isa pa mahirap ang talent management group na inexperienced kahit marami ka nang connection in showbiz.

ReplyDeleteKaF to. Yung Nag D pa launch career pero dahil nakipag chucha sa may gf na eh dun bumaba yung pag kuha ng mga serye. Pati si D herself wala rin napala. Extra2 na lang sya. Madami na rin lumayas sa poder ng kaf.

Delete7:15 recent management yan ni M na walang experience sa pag handle ng artists. Hindi yan kaf dahil nakakuha pa rin endorsements ang ibang stars nila. At ung mga umalis sa kanila before ay mostly dahil sa talent fee.
