Naroon kami ng dalawang friends ko at nanood ng concert at festive events. It was supposed to be a very happy event and an excellent festive event showcasing Filipino culture and music. 7:52 natapos yung huling kanta nila Apl.de.Ap at J-Rey ( it was an excellent concert!)...7:54 pm we headed to leave the venue at nakita ko ang crowd and by the looks of it kung sasakay kami ng bus ng friend ko eh aabutin kami ng 2 hours bago makasakay ng bus then mag train pa pauwi sa bahay, so I changed my mind and ask the other friend if she can give us a ride to the nearest train station, then we got into her car na nakapark lang sa kabilang side ng street kung saan nangyari ang tragic incident...we were in the car at 8 pm then paalis na kami at 8:02 pm there was a very loud screeching sound and I never thought anything about it at baka ikako isang driver na mayabang lang na nag accelerate ng car. Pagdating ko sa bahay saka ko lang nalaman na may ganitong incident pala with messages on may FB chatline at mga horrifc videos of the victims...kung nagdecide kaming mag bus, baka isa kami sa nadisgrasya dahil doon lang din ang street na lalakaran namin na sa tingin ko eh safe naman dahil nakabarricade yun for a block party. My friend is visiting Vancouver from the Philippines and was supposed to leave Canada on April 21st kaya nakalimutan ko na itong details about this event until nagmessage siya ulit sa akin habang natutulog ako for afternoon nap at nagpunta kami mga bandang hapon na...Life is short and in a snap of a finger, anything can change. Sending love and prayers to all victims and their families.
