I agree. Others attend fashion week events kasi talagang they live and breathe fashion. With her, I think she does this to earn. So in that sense, she needs to put in more effort not just on how she looks and pose, but learn more about fashion as well.
She's not really articulate. During the pageant she gave good answer because, of course, it was all rehearsed and she prepared. But this is terrible. She wanted this, she should've done her research.

653 coz ted talks has teleprompter parang sa news so she can read it and the topic naman was given in advance so she was able to practice. TED talks came out naturally kasi she was speaking bout her miss U journey she was speaking from the heart it was her passion and what she genuinely love. I guess for fashion it will take time and practice she'll get there.

Pia is not good with interviews like this. I can’t ever forget during a bag raid at fashion week she said there was perfume in her purse “to keep her going” and during a Bvlgari event she was asked something and she literally didn’t know what to say, she was stuttering and said “now that I think about it, i’ve never thought about this before!” I mean of course you haven’t, it’s a spontaneous question?? She didn’t need to say it that way but it was too obvious that she was lost and got nothing else, as is the case every time!

It’s honestly disappointing to see someone given an opportunity like that and completely fumble it. If she had no idea about fashion, the least she could have done was give a simple, thoughtful answer instead of making a fool of herself. Kaya nga kahit college graduate ako, gusto ko pa rin mag aral ng English para lng magkaroon ng American and British accent atsaka para masanay sa straight English. Si Pia naalala ko sa kanya si Marian Rivera.
The accent and grammar would be hardly noticeable if a person is full of depth. Kasi ma memesmerize ka sa mga words na binibitiwan or awestruck moment. Si Pia kasi, ewan! After MU parang nawalan ng substance mga sinasabi. Baka naman ganun na talaga at nag practice ng bongga for MU and got lucky! Pero Hindi katulad ni Cat or Gloria na magaling talaga sumagot naturally. Siguro maganda for her is modelling, yung mag focus sya as a model and hindi yung nagmamarunong sa fashion. Aralin nya muna through more modelling projects or gigs.
Between sa kanila ni Heart, baka si Heart pa mapag kamalan na naging MU, both dahil sa fashion sense and magsalita.
Siguro dapat manuod siya ng mga fashion interviews, makinig ng podcasts, and books para nalawa vocabulary niya. Iba ang miss universe when it comes sa fashion world dapat talaga talent din kailangan Jan lalo na at ima attend siya sa fashion week.
Nakakamiss din yung panahon na ang mga naggaganito may class at taste at marurunong talaga. Walang mga ganitong TH na influencer kuno nung mga 80s at 90s.

Pero loko din kasi yung harper's bazaar thailand di man lang inedit her vogue sg feature is well presented naman coz it was prerecorded.
ReplyDeleteImpromptu kasi to malamang don sa vogue sg knowledgeable sya kung ano sasabihin. Marami na sya ganto dati passport sagot pero wala sya yan. Two years namn na sya nagaattend pero wala tlga pagbabago pag mga gantong interview. Mas lumalala pa nga. Bilib na bilib pa namn ako nong nano sya ng Miss U, pero ngayon pati book nya napapaisip nalang ako. Para sakin lang kung gusto nya magstay sa limelight ng walang talent maguubos lang sya ng pera. The show had a lot of suedes, leather, and furs that were modeled. She may have just been nervous because she lacks confidence in fashion, although she did great on public speaking for Ted Talks.

I can’t ever forget during a bag raid at fashion week she said there was perfume in her purse “to keep her going” and during a Bvlgari event she was asked something and she literally didn’t know what to say, she was stuttering and said “now that I think about it, i’ve never thought about this before!” I mean of course you haven’t, it’s a spontaneous question?? She didn’t need to say it that way but it was too obvious that she was lost and got nothing else, as is the case every time!

Yun din ang kahinaan ko ung public speaking kaya I can easily spot if sino din kasama kong struggling sumagot pero if nakarehearsed ako kaya ko tlga mambudol n magaling ako sa english hahaha. I feel you Pia; just try to improve kc need m yan sa trabaho m. But when it comes to fashion; I am team ❤️

If she had no idea about fashion, the least she could have done was give a simple, thoughtful answer instead of making a fool of herself. ReplyDeleteThe accent and grammar would be hardly noticeable if a person is full of depth. Kasi ma memesmerize ka sa mga words na binibitiwan or awestruck moment. Si Pia kasi, ewan! After MU parang nawalan ng substance mga sinasabi. Baka naman ganun na talaga at nag practice ng bongga for MU and got lucky! Pero Hindi katulad ni Cat or Gloria na magaling talaga sumagot naturally. Siguro maganda for her is modelling, yung mag focus sya as a model and hindi yung nagmamarunong sa fashion. Aralin nya muna through more modelling projects or gigs.
