    1. He had late stage Alzheimer’s. They said he probably didn’t even realize she was dead.

    2. Huy read the whole story

    3. Gene has Alzheimer’s so he’s probably not aware and alert anymore. He’s probably bedbound too so no way talaga to ask for help.

      Delete
    4. Yes and may Alzheimer’s daw kaya siguro di na siguro alam yung nangyayare

      Delete
    5. 90+ na siya so he probably wasn't even aware

      Delete
    6. It’s possible he’s unaware because he has illnesses too.

      Delete
    7. Yes. Very sad and tragic ending.

      Delete
    8. May I add too na given his advanced alzheimers and heart disease, likely rin na he wasn't able to take his maintenance medication which contributed to his passing.

      Delete
    9. Yep, and he has alzheimers. Nobidy is taking care of him or making him take his meds. This is tragic

      Delete
    10. Alzheimer’s is a mind stealer. What’s left of the body is the shell the person/mind is totally gone already, that’s why it can’t function without help.

      Delete
    11. So tragic. I got teary eyed watching the news. What a sad way to go…

      Delete
    12. He’s 95 and no caregiver to help the wife to take care of him? And why are the kids not even checking up on them? Sad how Gene Hackman died maybe from starvation before the heart attack because no one was taking care of him for a week.

      Delete
    13. 11:05 possible naman na ganun set up. Lola ko 93 na may early dementia and yung tita ko na matandang dalaga in her late 60s yung primary caregiver. Sila lang magkasama sa bahay but we do check up on them din regularly.

      Delete
  2. Walang nagawa yung money & success nila. Such a tragic death. And because of his Alzheimer’s he’s not aware na patay na yung wife nya sa bathrooom. I think it’s so sad they died alone.

    1. Meron naman. They were able to live the life they wanted- being a recluse. After retirement, it was Hackman's choice to live a quiet life away from Hollywood. And why would that be sad?

      Delete
    2. Wow 95 yo and then you still you said walang nagawa? Ano gusto mo 100? It is a full of life, bihira na nakakadating ng 95.

    3. 9:24 slapsoil comment

    4. Actually malaki property nila and they're living life how they wanted it. Wala nga lang immediate na naka attend to their deaths but I wouldn't say walang nagawa money nila and they were together naman when they died to technically they weren't alone.

      Delete
    5. 9:24 he lived a good and a very looong life. Jusko, ano pang hahanapin mo eh umabot sya ng 90.

      Delete
    6. 9:24 Your comment reeks negativity towards wealth.

      Delete
    7. YAN PA TALAGA COMMENT MO!!! SAMA MONG TAO!!! PALIBHASA WALA KANG MOOLAH

    8. If I was given the chance to earn millions, I would live life on my own terms too. Away from the city, in a beautiful property with my pets and partner for company. Parang Bretman Rock ang peg. There's nothing sad about that, they lead a full life.

    9. 95 YEARS OLD HELLO kahit marami kang pera sa edad na yan mas gusto mo na lang magpahinga!

      Delete
And mga anak malalayo .

      Delete
    11. He gets to live til 95. That's wealthy. Because not everyone reaches that age.

      Delete
    12. Have you seen where they live? That’s every person’s dream when they retire- malayo sa mga kamag-anak na mag-aaway sa yaman mo, malayo sa tsismis, malayo sa mga tsismosang kapitbahay, kasama mo lang asawa at dogs mo, close to nature, at higit sa lahat maraming pera to sustain your needs.

      Delete

      Delete
    14. Galit na galit mga reply ah. Wag OA

    15. 9:24 tell us you’re obsessed with money without telling us.

  3. 95 yr old with Alzheimer’s pero di sila nag hire ng nurse to help them with day to day living? Did the wife decide to isolate them knowing she’s 30 yrs younger thinking she can take care of him??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Primary care giver daw 'yung wife

      Delete
Nothing wrong if she took care of him—he lived up to 95. It’s just unfortunate she got sick too.

      Delete
    3. Most of the Americans per my observation being a home health nurse ayaw nila ng may ibang tao nakakapasok basta sa bahay nila. They also value independence, autonomy and privacy a lot. Madami ako naging patients na kundi pa ieenforce ng Doctors nila or ng other family members, hindi talaga sila maghire or mag accept ng help. I once had a 100 yo patient living alone and only had housekeeper 2x a month.

      Delete
    4. It’s normal sa US kahit pa mayaman ka na hindi nag ha-hire ng helper. Only maintenance people. Ang sad lang dun hindi sila chineck ng relatives and friends nila for weeks

      Delete
    5. Yes ganun na nga! Meron talagang ganyan.

      Delete

      Delete
    7. Possibly, since 65 is still young.

      Delete
Hahaha

      Delete
    9. You don't seem to understand that his wife, who was 65 yrs old, was his sole caregiver also. She was 30 yrs younger than him kaya di nalng sila kumuha ng caregiver cz the wife's younger at baka decision nila yan. Huwag conclude agad.

      Delete
    10. He reached the age of 95 , and enjoyed the rest of his years with his wife. And besides, neither of them died alone kasi magkasama sila.

      Delete

      Delete
    12. Bakit ganyan ang mga tanong mo? Anong gusto mong ma-achieve na conclusion?

      Delete
  4. So sad. Guys always check on your elderly parents!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I totally agree! Nung mga bagets pa tayo, tumatawag or nagtetext parents natin pag wala sa bahay and now that we're adults, i-check din natin sila from time to time.

      Delete
    2. You don’t have to tell us. If we want to to, we will.

      Delete
    3. 10:24 bitter sa parents spotted lol. Nobody would care for your parents except you so problema mo na un

      Delete
    4. 1:36 Yup! Okay ka na?

  5. “Forensic experts came to a heartrending conclusion about the manner of Gene Hackman's death: heart failure with complications from Alzheimer's disease on an empty stomach a week after a rare, rodent-borne disease took the life of his wife at their home in Santa Fe.“

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Iba naman kultura sa America. All the time kailangan talaga nakamatyag ka sa parents mo?

      Delete

      Delete
    3. americans vs other cultures have different ideas of “close relationship”.

  8. This is sad.

    1. Daga lang common factor but malayo hantavirus sa lepto. For one yung hantavirus is as the name suggests, is a virus tas walang gamot. Supportive lang. Lepto pwede mo bigyan ng ng antibiotics.

    2. and the fact that it damages the kidneys. common factor din 12.43

  10. Gene was dependent on his wife for his well being, mauuna pala syang mawala but because of his Alzhiemer's he wasn't aware that she was dead. So sad that family didn't bother to check on them.

    ReplyDelete
  11. no welfare check? no friends?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Their family members don't even check on them so sad and also mahirap din talaga if may sakit and old na wala talagang nag aalaga dapat meron talaga kahit just to check every week

      Delete
    2. 12:15 hindi rin. Marami din issue sa nursing homes. Issues on understaffing, assault from staff and fellow patients, etc.

      Delete
    3. 1215 yan ang pros na alam. pero ung mga nursing homes dito, mga in laws ng aunt and pinsan ko inubos lng nila ang pera tas di na tinanggap after. mga gahaman din yan sa pera at sobrang mahal mag charge

    1. Kaya ako nag iiwan talaga ako ng maraming kibbles for my cats tapos yung ibang kibbles I make sure na kahit papaano accessible just in case they're so mad hungry na. I also tell a relative and close friend to sometimes check up on me kasi iniisip ko mga alaga ko sa ganitong situation. Omg. Kawawa naman sila. Ang heartbreaking ng nangyari.

      Delete

      Delete
  14. Ganun talaga if that’s the end of your life it’s bound to happen. Let’s just offer our prayers instead of blaming this and that. Natural death naman so it’s our Creator’s will. We can’t undo let this be a lesson to check our elderly parents. Let God do His will and let them rest in peace.

  15. Kaya agree ako legalize euthanasia

  16. Thats y its hard not to have children. Uso pa nmn ang dinks ngaun

    ReplyDelete

    1. It’s more hard and heartbreaking when you have children but doesn’t care about you. — just like what happened to this couple.

      Delete
    2. It's not hard because if you have no children, then you can use your hard-earned money for yourself.

Maghanda and magkaroon ng plano.

      Delete
    4. Gene Hackman had kids.

      Delete
    5. Excuse me !? That’s so disgusting of you to say that ! 🤮

      Delete
    6. Eiwww kadiri ka! I don’t have kids by choice so walang ma pre pressure to take care of me . I and my husband prepared for our years to come . You’re pathetic for having children as investments.

      Delete
    7. 4:03 4:06 I’m sure isang tao ka lang eh noh. I do not necessarily agree with 8:19 but the way you react, you can’t really have kids. Ang OA. Ang drama.

      Delete
    8. 2025 na ito pa rin mindset?!

      Delete

Teh, its 2025 na!!!

  17. It's even more devasting to know how they passed.

    ReplyDelete
It's a must. Atleast mamonitor sila every minute and they can even talk to them through those home security cameras.
