Pero when iris mittenaere came home to france after winning in 2017, may decent crowd naman na nag welcome sa kanya at may homecoming parade pa sa hometown niya sa lille. That was the last time may nanalo from europe
11:05 Europe kasi parang France na lang ang enthusiastic when it comes sa pageantry. Just watch na lang national pageantry nila, mas maganda at bongga pa kesa sa Miss Universe prod.
11:05 you can't compare pageant fans nung 2017 since hindi pa yun hawak ni Anne noon.
Yung mga scandinavian countries very big din sila on gender equality, and pageants are considered demeaning dahil inoobjectify yung mga babae.
More on sports dito.
Eurovision pa sikat sa EU... Lalo na sa European bekis.... West European countries value the emancipation of women, lalo na Dyan sa Scandinavian countries, and beauty pageants are seen as objectification of women, not-inclusive and archaic, not something empowering.
11:51 the same way na may mga rugby at soccer players sa pinas na gustong magcompete with the rest of the world kahit puro basketball ang pinapanuod ng mga tao sa pinas. Of course may niche din yung pageants sa western world, but hindi siya widely popular.
To be fair madami ding kababawan sa westerm world, I think ang difference lang alam nila kung ano ang totoong may value at kung ano ang para sa entertainmemt lang (well except sa US na binotong presidente ang isang reality star wtf). Sa atin parang poon ituring ang mga beauty queens but let's be real they are kinda mediocre people na na train lang how to walk, smize, and answer with platitudes. I mean, look at Pia as an actress, and Cat's music career. Michelle is literally an heiress but ended up showbiz adjacent. Shamcey still works in pageantry.
In the event that the reigning queen wil not be able to fulfill her duties the owner or the organization is very willing to asume the role..
Most latin countries are “3rd world countries” as well. Majority of latin countries are as poor as the ones in Asia. Mas malala pa crime rates at sindikato sa kanila.
3:25 I think ang pinupunto ni 1:44 SEA countries like singapore don't give a sh*t about pageants. To be fair though, hindi na tayo 3rd world country lololol correct me if I'm wrong, cambodia, laos, myanmar at timor leste nalang ang 3rd world
Western countries don't idolized celebrities the way the rest of the world do especially in Asia. They admired them of course, but not totally to the point of being so obsessed about them. Even if they see them on the streets walking, they dont swarm them like bees to disturb others. They have a life.
Denmark actually doesn’t care about it. Di naman yan Latin America and East Asian country na uhaw na uhaw sa validation from pageant world.
ReplyDeleteSo you’re confirming that pageants are for poor third world countries.
Delete@9:22 Matagal na accla!
Delete8:12PM I think you mean South East Asian.
DeleteScandinavic countries are not really into pageants and kasabay pa ng Ski-VM so dun sila mas interesado.
DeletePero when iris mittenaere came home to france after winning in 2017, may decent crowd naman na nag welcome sa kanya at may homecoming parade pa sa hometown niya sa lille. That was the last time may nanalo from europe

Delete9:22 it is. Lol, pero hindi pa rin ganyan kaliit ang crowd if it was planned in advance. Nakakaloka nman yung 1 journalist. 😂

BWISET!!!
DeleteYes na Yes!!! Pang 3rd world talaga ang beauty pageants! 🤣🤣🤣
Delete9:22 parang common knowledge naman ito. Yung mga scandinavian countries very big din sila on gender equality, and pageants are considered demeaning dahil inoobjectify yung mga babae.

DeleteThe Europeans couldn't care anymore less for pageants.
ReplyDeleteThey don't care in general siguro Denmark, kasi kung may solid pageant fans jan e kahit late announcement sugod yan
ReplyDeleteEuropeans love football more than anything.

ReplyDeleteFirst world countries don’t care about beaucons. Their reaction: they still do that? And laugh.
ReplyDeleteMost latin countries are “3rd world countries” as well.

DeleteThe US gave this country billions of dollars to implement hygiene. Isn't that a little insulting?!
