DeleteShe missed her lunch meeting only to find out she was unconscious na in her hotel room in hongkong.
ReplyDeleteA true legend who leveled up the Filipino’s resto industry. Just last Sunday we dined in at one of their restos, truly shocking!
ReplyDeleteMy fave naman is her son’s resto A Mano.

R I P, Chef! 🧑🍳
Fondest memory of Chef Gaita was at Lusso. My friend and I are browsing the menu and are clueless on what to order since the menu was totally new to us first-timers. She approached our table (i guess she saw us helpless) and explained in a very professional, friendly and discreet way the menu. then she asked what our cravings are that day and pointed those that would match our appetite. That is gold standard service, people.
ReplyDeleteYou’re lucky. What a nice experience that was! She is truly the gold standard.
DeleteMissed her lunch meeting daw in HK, then, when checked, was found dead in her hotel room. Baka inatake or na stroke. So SAD. Rest in Peaxe Mam! We'll surely miss u.
ReplyDeleteHayyy kaya takot na ako magtravel magisa. May nararamdaman kang anxiety and stress, being alone is not a good idea.
DeleteOo nga kasi even her family was shocked at the news.
DeleteAww. RIP po. Love CIBO btw.
ReplyDeleteSo sad —— the Batchoy by Margarita Fores at Ramen Ron is the best Batchoy here in Manila — as an Ilonggo, I have been a fan.
ReplyDeleteOmggg chef gaita! Nakakasad naman 😔
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chef, for teaching us that simple and fresh is best. Cibo changed the way people dined.
ReplyDeleteRIP to one of the best chef in the Ph! Sobrang humble pa niya and generous to all her staff.
ReplyDeleteWe lost a good one. National treasure si chef. One of a kind. Rest in peace ma’am.
ReplyDeleteShe is a kindhearted and good human being. Gone too soon. RIP Gaita.🙏
ReplyDeleteMaybe heart attack
ReplyDeleteYes maybe kasi biglaan.
