  2. Sino naman nag comment nyan? Nakaka offend yung sabihin mong nagresign ang tao after makuha 13 month pay. Sinagot ka tuloy. Kung hindi mo naman alam story pwede iwasan mga ganyang klase ng comment. Or khit may alam pa sa story if its not ur story to tell pwede ba? Napaghahalata tuloy na hindi na yata uso ang word na “class” sa ibang Pinoy.

    The 13th-month pay mandated by Presidential Decree (P.D.) No. 851 represents an additional income based on wage but not part of the wage. It is equivalent to one-twelfth (1/12) of the total basic salary earned by an employee within a calendar year. All rank-and-file employees, regardless of their designation or employment status and irrespective of the method by which their wages are paid, are entitled to this benefit, provided that they have worked for at least one month during the calendar year. If the employee worked for only a portion of the year, the 13th-month pay is computed pro rata.

    1. Teh, depende yan sa status mo. For freelance workers or talents gaya niya, hindi applicable yan. Mukang ikaw ang walang trabaho or never nagka work. I'm a freelancer online and wala akong benefits. I'm not required to pay tax or make SSS or Pag-ibig contributions. Sana inintindi mo din yang sakop ng shinare mo from laborlaw.ph

    3. Oi you are required to still pay tax even if freelancer. You have to register with BIR as self-employed. Unlike a regular employee wherein income tax is automatically deducted each month, freelancers need to pay on an annual basis.

    5. 3:31 - I agree. Only jobless ang makakaisip na kaya nag resign dahil nakuha na ang 13th month. Any month mag resign ang employee, makukuha pa rin ang 13th month kase pro rata yan. That is if eligible for 13th month.

    6. 5:24 Depends on the company teh. Acadsoc and RareJob didn't require teachers to pay tax. Bizmates on the other hand required trainers to register with BIR. I've worked for those companies.

    7. 5:24 No. There are companies especially online English schools teaching Chinese students na hindi nirirequire ang teachers magbayad ng tax kaya buo nakukuha ang professional fees. Kung hindi ka naka experience mag work online as freelancer, wag ka basta basta magcomment.

    8. any revenue that you earn within the philippines should be taxed. That’s the general rule, so whether you are a freelancer or regular employee, you should pay tax to the BIR. Pwede masilip ng BIR yung mga binanggit nyong companies

    10. 4:25 It's not just any revenue. It's not a general rule. My gad nagmagaling ka pa! Annual income below P250,000 is not taxed. Alam mo ba yun? Kahit silipin pa yan ng BIR kung ang kita mo naman ay below that amount, walang kaso or issue yun. I should know because I work for a Japanese online school. We are required to get business permit. And to get tax exemption, we have to submit a document every year. Below 250,000 ang kita ko as a freelancer kaya hindi ako nagbabayad ng tax, wala akong benefits na nakukuha sa company (which is considered my client), and I have to pay contributions to SSS, etc kung gusto ko (which I don't).

    12. 12:58 - yes, but as a general rule you need to file your taxes. if it's below 250,000 then 0% tax rate ka. ang point is dapat nakaregister ka sa BIR because anytime your revenue bracket falls above the 250k threshold, then you're subject to pay tax!

    5. 7:29 girl, kung fixed kasi monthly ang sahod mo, malaking bagay talaga ang 13th month. Pero if freelancer ka na walang kaltas and project based ang bayad, mas malaki kaya hindi mo ramdam kung wala 13th month.

    7. Not 6:18 but talent contracts usually involve high fees, especially if the talent values himself or herself a certain rate. For freelancers, as trade-off for not being regular employees, tinataasan nila rate nila pero walang security of tenure kasi nga hindi naman empleyado. The good thing about being a freelancer is the company has no control over your means and method — just the output — kaya preferred 'yan ng mga artista, influencer, endorsers, etc.

      Check the Labor Code for further verification.

Pwede sila kahit saan saka yang 13th month pay na yan? Wala naman yan ehh, pangtulong lang yan sa mga one day millionaire na katulad mo. Sa western countries wala silang 13th month pay pero annual income sila bumabawi

Unless you're a big star or big name on tv di daw talaga malaki ang bayad, sinabi yan nila MC at lassy for example sa showtime di malaki ang bayad mas malaki pa kita nila sa mga fiesta, comedy bars, pero ok rin kasi exposure sa tv everyday and na po post sila sa social media platform YouTube, fb, TikTok ng abs cbn na milyones ang followers

  16. Reality is if you are quitting do it around after bonus is paid. That's what mostly people do. Why not? You have contributed in the past fiscal year so only appropriate to wait for the bonus then submit your 2 weeks notice. Remember if you dont own the business, you are only as good as your last performance. You are just a number. You are replaceable!!! Give your 99% or 200% you will have a big chance to get booted out.
