Performers often earn more than their usual media appearances or public concerts with private performances with a captive audience. Corporate events are a major means of earning for many performers. Corporations recognized the need for their teams to be entertained and to give that memorable experience and please their employees, famous personalities are hired for entertainment.
Companies allocate a budget enough to hire a talent whom they deemed to be popular with the crowd. Of course, the caliber of the performer depends on the company performance for that year. Huge profits mean more funds and perhaps, a better show.
To appease its employees, a company decided to hire Popular Singer (PS) to entertain its employees. Upon knowing the major performer for the company show, the employees were excited to see PS live. After all, watching PS in a concert is not cheap and this time, the company is footing her fees. They looked forward to seeing PS and to sing along with her catchy hits. PS has gained an audience because her songs are relatable to the common people.
PS was given a warm response and the employees were excited, but after a while, they started to feel disappointed. The theme was for the celebration of the company. However, PS had spiels that were full of angst. She shared her emotions, which were sad and several employees felt were inappropriate for the show. Luckily, PS was not the only performer for the corporate event. Hence, some decided to step out as they could not stand the negativity, and wait for the more exciting ones.
