i remember Regine's Silver concert.. paos sya.. pinilit nya pa rin until talagang di na nya kaya ikanta pa un boses nya. the crowd sung with her kc hirap na and naawa na din kami s knya. naiiyak na din kami pra s knya. she knew that those who came did not get their money's worth so she promised to reschedule and told the crowd to keep our tickets kc un ung gagamitin pa din.. and indeed, the repeat was like her last kc sobrang all out sya. birit kung birit. kami na nga ang sumuko haha!

Hello 6 songs, anong nagkaiba ke Regine pareho silang may sakit when they started the show but Regine MANLY acknowledged na hindi success ang concert so she decided for a repeat. Alam nila hindi natatapos ang show bat pinilit tapos never acknowledged the day 1 concert. Day 2 parang walang nangyari kung tlga health concern nagpagaling sya pero hindi MONEY TALKS
I was one of those who bought 4 tickets to the Dec 20 tkts. We understood the situation at that time. But I think we deserve to see the whole show as those who went to the Dec 22 show. Management being quiet is being insensitive to those who paid hard-earned money to see the show. They should have released a statement by now. I would agree with you kaso, in the end, concert goers are consumers who needs to have their money's worth. If there was an ounce, or shadow of doubt about his health condition, they shouldn't have pushed through. In fact, pushing himself was unnecessary given that its well-known, he's not exactly healthy. At the end of the day, Gary and his family, will still be holding the bag while the concert goers are P15K poorer.

I will never pay a 15k concert esp if ilang beses ko na cya nakita. I am a Gary V fan, I've watched his show live sa lugar namin, then saw him again years after that. Nakita ko pa cya ng motorcade right in front of me. And if I want to hear him sing again, pwede nmn sa spotify, or sa youtube or whatever medium. I will spend the 15K cguro if di ko pa nakita yung artist but these days, dun na tayo sa mas practical lalo na Christmas season. I'm not Gary V or the management but kung kaya i resched and i honor yung pumunta sa first date ng concert or i refund basta ma appease yung fans, I would. Kesyo may lugi or what. Kesa masira pangalan ko or pangalan ng management. It takes years and in this case decades to build your name up tas masisira lang dahil sa gantong incident.
If they intend to have another concert in the future people might not support it anymore because of this incident. Not acknowledging the sentiments of those concert goers who paid too much just to see and listen to him. Unlike yung kay Regine V. Alam niyang those who paid deserves her best performance. In all, depende pa rin yan sa T&C upon purchase ng tickets. If nakasaad na no refund for uncontrollable circumstances, wala pa ring hold yung mga purchasers. And it's up to the management if they will still offer something. Better to read the T&Cs

ReplyDeleteKawawa un mga 15k. Pang lechon big size na un ahahaha tapos pano kung may ka date pa. So 30k. Lechon baka na. Lesson learned na yan sa mga bumili. And unless di na magcoconcert si Gary V ulit, ayusin nila yan. Kasi kadadalaan sila. Actually napanood ko na dati si Gary V sa concert. Front act siya nung 2 members ng F4 ahahah. Un may stampede pa nakakaloka. Putik putik ako after. Umulan kasi kaya naghalo un tubig at lupa hence putik. It was more than 20 years ago. Inip na inip na nga kami nung nagpeperform si Gary kasi gusto talaga namin makita un dalawang F4. Pero kung concert lang niya nakupo. Pass.

I was one of those who bought 4 tickets to the Dec 20 tkts. We understood the situation at that time. But I think we deserve to see the whole show as those who went to the Dec 22 show. Management being quiet is being insensitive to those who paid hard-earned money to see the show. They should have released a statement by now. Kaya pati ako, being a patient person that I am, na turn off na.

He knew that many expended time, resources and effort to see him and he can't disappoint them. So he with all the energy he could muster, he tried to perform. It was a case of "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak". The man isn't so young and energetic anymore. Kayo din naman. Dapat more understanding kayo.

Oo merong mga health considerations but mga international artists via ticketmaster refunds talaga kahit halfway naka perform na. Take for example Lady Gaga ning umulan sa show nya sa Philadephia, she refunded. Britney Spears hurt her leg sa Planet Hollywood in the middle of the show and cant finish. Refunded din via ticketmaster. Ganun lang ka simple yun. You ask for the audience money to pay your services (performance), if you cant deliver fully then refund.

And yet people still bought tickets and supported your dad. So don't ever question their support and understanding about your dad.
ReplyDeleteTakot ba mabawasan ang pera kaya ayaw mag refund? Since 80s pa nagpeperform si Gary for sure naman hindi nyo ikakahirap yan pag nagrefund kayo. And mayaman naman na pamilya nyo even before dahil sa generational wealth.
ReplyDeleteRefund nalang. Normally insured naman ang performer/performance for instances like this. Di naman fair sa mga nagbayad ng ticket tapos short changed sila. Mayaman na naman si Gary V. Siguro sa family nila, bale wala ang 15k but for a lot of people mabigat talaga ang amount na ito. Kiana is being super defensive and she’s just trying to convince herself that Manila Genesis is justified in not giving refunds. Saan ang xtianity diyan??

I understand the sentiments of the audience, however, kung irerefund ang mga pinambayad sa tickets pano naman ung prod budget nila, kasama mga dancers, stage. Meron pa kaya silang pambayad if ever or consider it losses or kalugihan na sya sa prod? Pls no bashing, just share your inputs po. Salamat.
ReplyDeleteAgree. But then not all people have the same perspective. Regardless the fact that Gary V still tried his best to somehow perform. It was really unfortunate he was really unwell. Maybe his team just need to come up with something also to appease/ compensate those who paid to watch his concert and felt shortchanged.
DeleteThis is why I think they can’t or won’t refund. Bayad na kasi yung venue, prod, etc. and even if mag-cancel sila, meron at malaki ang cancellation fee.

IMHO, kng hours before his concert he was really not in good condition, they should've cancelled and refunded OR maybe reschedule na lang pag magaling na magaling na siya. Pero siguro on his part, he made an effort din to continue the show kasi siguro nakita niya ang mga tao who are excited to see him and listen to his music and with nine songs, hindi na kinaya, that is so sad, imagine to push himself para lang maentertain kayo!? DeleteI would agree with you kaso, in the end, concert goers are consumers who needs to have their money's worth. If there was an ounce, or shadow of doubt about his health condition, they shouldn't have pushed through. In fact, pushing himself was unnecessary given that its well-known, he's not exactly healthy. At the end of the day, Gary and his family, will still be holding the bag while the concert goers are P15K poorer.

DeleteI will never pay a 15k concert esp if ilang beses ko na cya nakita. I am a Gary V fan, I've watched his show live sa lugar namin, then saw him again years after that. Nakita ko pa cya ng motorcade right in front of me. And if I want to hear him sing again, pwede nmn sa spotify, or sa youtube or whatever medium. I will spend the 15K cguro if di ko pa nakita yung artist but these days, dun na tayo sa mas practical lalo na Christmas season. Andaming gastos - noche buena, gift giving, parties, at may new year pa. Save nyo nlng sana...

Theres always a way to get back to rude customer without destroying your and comapny's name. She need to be one level higher than them. ReplyDeleteI'm not Gary V or the management but kung kaya i resched and i honor yung pumunta sa first date ng concert or i refund basta ma appease yung fans, I would. Kesyo may lugi or what. Kesa masira pangalan ko or pangalan ng management. It takes years and in this case decades to build your name up tas masisira lang dahil sa gantong incident.

Not acknowledging the sentiments of those concert goers who paid too much just to see and listen to him. Unlike yung kay Regine V. Alam niyang those who paid deserves her best performance. Sana acknowledge ng genesis management instead of ignoring everything. Maraming nadala and mukhang hindi na mauulit.

In all, depende pa rin yan sa T&C upon purchase ng tickets. If nakasaad na no refund for uncontrollable circumstances, wala pa ring hold yung mga purchasers. And it's up to the management if they will still offer something. Better to read the T&Cs
