No Consideration

Since she started her career, Versatile Actress (VA) has gained a strong following. As a young talent, VA was a mother’s darling. She was nice as a child. No bratty stories filled the rumor mill. Her roles elicited the emotional response targeted from the audience. However, puberty slowed her down given that the stage was awkward as she was too young for teen or adult roles. Nonetheless, her management made sure she would not be in oblivion.

As soon as she was of age, the fame was still there and the roles, too. This time, VA tried to explore her other talents. She was successful getting into new ventures. The fans were still around, but VA had to think of her priorities. Family was first and her career was now second.

Despite being not as visible in mainstream media as before, she remained recognizable and admired. One day, VA was seen on vacation with her family. Fans could only watch as they respected her family time. Then, they noticed something that reflected character. While she and the rest of her family were seated and eating, her helpers were left standing, watching over them. The onlookers were shocked at the way the VA treated them. They subsequently realized that her pretty face did not match her character. There was no kindness at all. She showed inconsideration was part of her household.

‘None are so inconsiderate as those who demand nothing of life other than their own personal comfort.’ —Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach

    1. Lol. How ignorant. That’s a big NO.

  6. Not fair. Sometimes, helpers are given food allowances so they can buy and eat whatever they want at a different time than the bosses. This is so they can assist while the bosses are eating. Hay!

    1. While I agree, mukhang di naman child, elderly or disabled si VA or any of the family members.

    2. Agree. It's part of their job. They are doing their job. Yung nag-observe nito ang questionable who took pity on the kasambahays coz that's how the poster perceived them. Naawa ka ba sa mga FA if you're eating while sila nakatayo lang sa gilid ng eroplano?

    3. This is true. Oh well, kahit pala nakaupo sila may sasabihin pa din.

    5. Ano yan susubuan bosses nila? Some people are just effin entitled.

    6. Tama. It's not like they are left to be hungry. But it depends din. Kapag family affair, di sila kasama. Pero yung left standing sa resto, while the bosses eat, maybe kailangan pa ng service nila in the meantime.

  8. Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with this. Household help are NOT expected to eat at the same time nor same table as their employers. This is not discrimination, it is their job to be on standby/available when asked to do something while employers are eating. Household help may opt to eat before or after, but not during.

  9. I remember a time in Bacolod City, a sophisticated looking family was having lunch in a resto, the yaya just stood near her alaga while the family was eating. She looked embarrassed, downcast eyes and sad looking.

  10. That's not maltreatment, they are there to serve or assist the family. I f they are starve that's different, amo eat first.

  11. We do not know the real score. Most of the time, the househelpers prefer native dishes. Kanin is life talaga sa kanila. Kaya separate food sila. So let us not judge without knowing the facts.

  12. madaming family ang ganyan, which is sad. Sa amin nman, when we were younger and had helpers out with us, they ate what we ate. Kahit na buffet pa sya sa hotels.... It was just in our nature. One time, natuwa yun isang manager ng hotel that we were treating our yayas that way, they charged us kid's pricing for the yayas

    1. At 8:21 yes. Agree. Usually new money family. Yung mga old rich families, they treat their staffs nicely especially in public places. Pinapakain talaga if not the same table as them, same resto as them.

  13. Wag din tayo masyado judgmental. It could be the helpers are given allowances for food, or maybe, given time to eat after their bosses ate. And that is fine.

    2. Nope po. Kasabay nya palagi mga helpers nyan kumain. Madalas sya pa nagluluto.

  15. So yung helpers nalang upo tapos yung amo nalang tayo okay na?

  16. Gets ko yung hindi kasabay kumain ang helpers dahil hindi naman lahat ng oras gusto mo kasabay ang tao kumain kahit kamaganak mo pa yan. pero if nasa labas and hindi sila yung servers ng food, bkit kailngan nakatayo and nanonood sa kumakain.

  17. Sino ito? Hirap naman.😬

  18. D ba ito? Nung wala pa siya asawa

  19. grabe naman yan pwede naman paupuhin muna sila habang kumakain sila. nagmukha tuloy silang servant

  20. Ang point eh kung bakit sila nakatayo sa paligid when they were at the restaurant!May servers doon to assist.Yung mga kasambahay namin nung bata and now, kesyo di nila trip yung kinakainan namin, may sarili pa din silang table at either dessert na lang or drinks. Kasambahay slash body guards ba sila?😂

    ReplyDelete
  21. Iba2 naman kasi tayo ng treatments ng kasambahay eh, etong scenario na toh for me di ko muna judge kasi nga depende s household arrangements nila sa mga kasambahay nila. And I agree sa ibang comments here it's part of their job nga naman. Ang masama if after nyan, di pa rin sila pinakain or ano..or pinatayo sila ng forever.
