  1. The exact words to describe us as Pinoys. Under manipulation and corruption. Corruption is given pero the other word is we are under manipulation.

    1. Sad to say but a lot of voters aren't educated enough and are therefore easily manipulated and exploited by dirty politicians who's goals are to only benefit themselves under the guise of being "there to help" instead of being there to serve and improve the systems for everyone's benefit. It happens everywhere, mas malala nga lang sa third world countries. :(

    2. Sana may like button dito 7:24, kasi sapul na sapul mo. Nakakairita na yung they’re there to help kuno pero in reality, they’re just helping themselves.
And plus! The word there is to “serve” and not to “help”.

    3. I think it has also something to do with how we(especially millenials and older) has been honed at school. Example, we were not taught to logicaly discuss things or rationalize. We were often asked “huwag kang sumasagot, teacher ako or mas matanda ako” or could be
⚠️“I am right and you are wrong”
⚠️“ I am big, you are small.”
⚠️ “Papunta ka palang, pabalik na ako”(therefore I am correct!)
⚠️⚠️ “And there’s nothing you can do about it!”
      - parang Matilda.
Therefore, we used to just keep quiet and follow what was asked us to do even if it was wrong.

I could be wrong about this, pero I noticed, mahina tayo magjustify and magrationalize. And if magjustify man, mababaw lang, mostly di kayang mag explain with substance.

    4. 1:41 agree with you. Experienced this at home when i was young at ramdam yun effect ngayon na matanda-(ish) na ko at hindi makasagot o makapag-explain, lalo pag yun katrabaho ko mas mataas sakin o boss ko (position of authority).

    5. I agree with you 1:41

and those people naman who are radical and logical, most of the time they are being judged as masama ang ugali or matigas ang ulo just cause hindi sumusunod sa nakasanayan.

they are made to look bad para hindi gayahin by those people na ayaw ng makabagong isip.

    6. @1:41 I disagree when it comes to millenials naman, let us not generalize. We are in our 40s na, we're tired and we choose our battles. Remember that EDSA 1 and 2 were led by the older ones. But with trying to make ends meet, and the toxicity of soc med, plus our own personal lives, not everyone has the energy to fight all the time. We do our part and hope one day that ripples into something big.

And majority pa rin ang masa, mostly uneducated and can be manipulated. Deduct that from the equation, and all other generations na may vested interest sa pera ng bayan, the people who really care, boomer man yan o gen z, don't stand a chance. Not in our lifetime, maybe.

    7. 7:24, although I agree on madaming uneducated pero madami din ako kilalang mga lawyers, CPAs na nakakagulat ang choices for leaders. Lalo na nung leader na palamura.

Iniisip ko, kawalan ng standards ang dahilan. Yung qualification to run ang baba. Kaya walang magandang choices ang mga boboto.

Compared to Singapore, ang leaders nila mostly managed big profitable companies.

    2. People are manipulated by these politicians. And there comes the corruption right after.

    3. I was surrounded by people who believed in the 20php/kg na bigas. I tried to spread awareness, and not all of these people are uneducated ah. These are the same people who are bashing the govt now in their soc meds, and joining scatter or kung anu-ano pang pakulo ng influencers.

They think the election is like lotto, one day sswertehin din tayo at may maayos na uupo.

    5. Kaya nga mention nya manipulation kasi nga yung mga politicians minamanipulate nila mga botante. Nagpapanggap na kunwari matino at may malasakit.

    3. Walang perpektong tao.

    4. Hater ka lang teh. She does not do something out of public pressure. She does help raise awareness at the right place on her own time. Some people just expect too much from her. May I remind you that she’s a celebrity not a public servant. Call out those politicians who go out on vacation while their constituents are badly hit by calamities.

Yung idol mo nga kahit i-call out tahimik lang. Walang pake kung wala siyang pakinabang.

    6. 9:20, entitled and divisive, that’s what you are.

Even VG dropped a huge endorsement para lang makapag endorse last election

    9. Si 9:20, halatang kaninong kulto galing. Nadine has a mind of her own. Cannot be manipulated unlike your idol na walang laman ang utak kundi puro loveteam lang palibhasa walang talent at all. Brain dead like you.

    10. 1:08 who’s the idol you’re talking about?

  12. So true. Plus, we don’t use our brain in making important decisions. We use our feelings.

    4. Sige nga, what can he do about it? Gets?

  16. Unpopular opinion, i find his statement wrong, pretentious and insincere. I liked how he seems a positive influence to nadine. But c’mon, the thing he really loves in their relationship is related to politics? Ok ba yun na that is what he likes most? Hehe.……..

    1. His first statement says ‘we deeply care about a lot’. He seems to be a smart and a sensible person. Just because he didn’t give a usual showbiz answer like you would expect from most celebrities doesn’t mean he’s wrong, pretentious and insincere. He’s just a regular guy who happens to have a celebrity gf. His answer just shows you their values are aligned with regards to some issues that matter to both of them.

  17. Isn't this the same kind of manipulation they used before when they were completely against the bridge construction in Siargao? Back then, they argued that it would damage the environment or nature kemeh, but in reality, they were just trying to protect their resort, which was located near the proposed site of the bridge. (bridge was proven unnecessary tho)

    ReplyDelete

    1. Being against something not good for the environment is never a manipulation. They were using their voice to support the locals there and expose those trying to build something unnecessary that will have a major impact on nature.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. AFAM bridge was also constructed pero wala naman silang sinabi dun kasi they were unaffected... so why that bridge? - insert, because malapit sa resort ni boyfie! (bridge was unnecessary tho upon further studies pero to say NO right away, even without them studying about it? Locals were divided on that matter though...)
