The museum itself selects celebrities for their collection based on their popularity and cultural significance.
The most obvious factor that the museum consider in choosing a celebrity in the region it is located is their popularity. Celebrities who are well-known and have a large fan base are more likely to be included in the collection.
Currently, there are 5 Filipino celebs in Madame Tussauds in Asia. Pia, Catriona, Manny and now Anne's wax statues are displayed in HK while Lea's is in Singapore.

Me thinks her achievements don’t matter. Nakuha sya dahil sikat sya sa pinas and daming pinoy sa hk = to attract all of them. It’s all in the ca-Ching.

Akala ko yung kay Catriona na yung super doooleganger levels ang pagakakahawig, etong palang kay anne yung pwede na talagang pumalit sa kanga yung wax figure sa sobrang resemblance. And amazed how easily naging pareho sila ng face nung pag smile niya.. ang galing!!
