An uncomfortable truth but these women, our Pinay women as young as 12 as as old as 60, suffered as comfort women, used like s*xtoys of the Jap soldiers and without mercy. Some died from the abuse. Many never recovered.
Yes. Uncomfortable but needed.
9:33 the atrocities of the past were committed by the people at that time. The current generation carry no sin like that. Their nation acknowledges that sin and pays for it. They also did the River Kwai horrors in Thailand and the Rape of Nanking in China. Not that their crimes are easy, it will always bring pain.
What is important is to remember the lessons and to bring comfort to the victims. We cannot punish the children of criminals for the crimes of their long dead parents. We also cannot live in generational hatred.
Kaya nga Japanese made up for the wrongs of their past.
More than 2 decades ago, I wrote an article para sa school paper about comfort women. Ang sakit basahin & pakinggan ng stories nila as part of my research. I-hahate mo talaga ang mga hapon.
Kaya nga. Maganda sana message but sana may respect and reverence din for those na naging biktima. Sana ma call out din.
9:57 do you even know your history? Halatang hindi ka nanonood so you don't know what you're talking about. Glorify ka dyan. Try watching a quality show like Pulang Araw to enlighten your understanding!
