I agree with Ellen. It was boring and bland. Nawala na yung sultry, yet fun, playful and energetic vibe ng VS. Ever since the former top execs stepped down, VS seemed to have lost its brand identity. Yung mga models din iba iba ang vibe habang rumarampa: yung iba sobrang serious, yung iba parang galit, while yung iba nakasmile. The wings and costumes were also cheap and low quality. Nakakamiss yung dati. Im not sure how VS can sustain the succeeding fashion shows in the future.
Bella as the opening was uninteresting. Ang safe lang nang arrive, unlike their usual na pasabog talaga. They could’ve made noise kung opening pa lang OGs na nilabas nila. It was their make it or break it moment again sana pero sadly i think this time nothing is memorable.

It was sad naman talaga compared to previous ones. Outfits were meh and the wings weren't winging. I was also looking for the VS voice announcing the performers and the segments.

DeleteFor me Bella-Kendall-Gigi is the Holy Trinity of our generation. But it’s Vittoria instead of Kaia, though Vitto isn’t a nepo baby. Gigi peaked hard when she started her career and now papunta nang mediocre. While Bella naman hinasa ng panahon and improved a lot.
DeleteNaalala ko dati kaabang abang talaga ang VS show. Yung tipong pagkanood mo dederecho kang gym para mag work out with the hopes na maging kasing katawan mo ang VS angels. Ngayon, nawalan na talaga ng tuluyan ang kinang ng show. Ginawa kasi nilang masyadong pa-woke at inclusive. Hindi naman kailangan lahat ng bagay gawing inclusive. Iba pa rin talaga yung era nina Gisele, Alessandra, Adriana, Candice, Behati, Anne V, Miranda Kerr, and Doutzen.

ReplyDeleteAfter 5 or 6 yrs hiatus gano ang stage ng VS prang low cost or a budget talaga. Baka kaya di nila na tap bumalik si Giselle. Totoo naman na ang meh ng set up compare sa mga previous VSFS. Pero infairness napak nostalgic ng walk ng mga og ng vs. Baka sa TF sila nagastusan lol. Yung nga H sa cher nawalan pa ng ilaw. Ewan ko kung nawalan o ganon talaga yon. Ang chaka lang.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Ellen. It was boring and bland. Nawala na yung sultry, yet fun, playful and energetic vibe ng VS. Ever since the former top execs stepped down, VS seemed to have lost its brand identity. Yung mga models din iba iba ang vibe habang rumarampa: yung iba sobrang serious, yung iba parang galit, while yung iba nakasmile. The wings and costumes were also cheap and low quality. Nakakamiss yung dati. Im not sure how VS can sustain the succeeding fashion shows in the future.

ReplyDeleteBella as the opening was uninteresting. Ang safe lang nang arrive, unlike their usual na pasabog talaga. They could’ve made noise kung opening pa lang OGs na nilabas nila. It was their make it or break it moment again sana pero sadly i think this time nothing is memorable.

Theyre catering to different demographics. Dati sa VS super payat and skinny lang gusto, now theyre purposefully putting in representation. Theyre being like SKIMS gusto nila may range and variety ON PURPOSE. I remember may hinanakit some VS angels because the moment naging moms yata sila tinatanggal sila or what. super rigid ng standards so if you saw curvier models, its on purpose. even Heidi and Tyra yata yun eh. Basta some super sikat models they were pruned out dati.

DeleteI somewhat agree with Mareng Ellen hehe. Comparing this year’s OP to when Adriana Lima and Giselle Bundchen opened the show back in 2003 and 2006 respectively, Gigi was, well - lackluster. Just my taste, not hating.

ReplyDeletePalaos na talaga yung VSFS that’s why they casted the nepo babies Hadids and Jenner to boost their ratings. Na-sustain pa naman for several years but the company went bankcrupt because of their work ethics and lack of inclusivity, not because of the models.

Gone are the days na masaya sa runways ang mga angels. di din tlga maganda tignan ung mga Malalaking size na may pakpak. Wag natin ipilit. I miss the old VS FS na glowing ang mga skin nila at mga model figure tlga. Masyado na kasing pa woke.
