Tama lang yan. So that people who have options and money can decide properly. If the Filipino doctors/hospital want the patients' money THEY BETTER STEP UP. Otherwise global na ang labanan ngayon. For those who can afford, its not bad to expect the best for your money's worth
Angge is young, the doctor’s advice to exhaust all conservative measures to delay the inevitable sounds about right dahil she will need a few replacements in her lifetime since she had one young but it boils down what she wants with her body, her body her choice.
Ung video nahindi na sya makalakad dapat hip replacement na sya . Kasi very weak na ung bones nya. Good thing ginawa na sakanya
Ive a friend na may lupus and nagpa hip replacement surgery. After about 7yrs, nag weaken din, naka wheelchair/tungkod na ngayon.
Her body, her choice. But surgery should always be the last resort. I work in the medical field enough to know that these hip replacement surgeries can give you more complications in the future. I have seen patients most common complication is infection, they get admitted for drainage of infection, they keep coming back for it. She is still young there should be some more other options.
Nakaktakot na disease and first time ko narinig na meron ganitong sakit pala.
10:27 pm, madaming cases ng hip replacement but not necesaydahil sa same illness ni Angge. I had hip arthroscopy, I opted to do it than wait and eventually mauwi din sa hip replacement. Mine was minor compared to her surgery but napakahirap at sakit pa din ng pinagdaanan ko. Good thing I have a good support system like her, may katulong sa lahat ng bahay ultimo pagpapaligo at pag tanggal ng undies. It takes courage to do the surgery but much more courage to go through recovery.
10:27 dito sa US, everyday daming hip and knee replacement surgeries. Outpatient and home recovery na sya unless di ka pumasa sa PT or may other issues ka, saka ka lang magsstay overnight sa hospital.
My mom is 70+ years old nag double hip replacement 2nd day naglalakad. Now after 1 year nagaalaga na ng baby na apo niya and na commute.
My mother is 74 years old. She needs knee replacement on both knees. Takot sya mag pa opera and she'd rather suffer, wala din sya tiwala sa mga doctor daw dito, (we're in the East Coast) feeling nya baka magka complications ang surgery at d sya gumaling. She takes statin drugs, bp meds and meds to control her blood sugar. Honest opinion, would you still recommend her to undergo knee replacement? TIA!
7:14 she needs to discuss it with her Doctor/s. I came btw from East Coast (lalo na sa NYC or NJ) and moved sa West Coast. Kelangan din controlled ang blood sugar nya if she has to go through surgery kasi high blood sugar levels will delay wound healing. Marami kaming patients na 80-90’s nagpapa hip or knee replacement and they are doing fine. It’s done as outpatient na ngayon. kelangan motivated din ang mom mo, she needs to do her part sa home exercises nya.
I think the earlier the better.
Mukha mas naging okay sha after surgery.
I had my knee replacement surgery for both of my knees in my early 50s. Kailangan a) ma-research mabuti yung doctor na gagawa ng procedure b) yung metal na gagamitin, hindi nickel. c) yung care after ng surgery - nag-hire kami ng caregiver for one month, d) napakahalaga ng support ng family
anon 7:14, it would be better for your mom to have surgery while she’s relatively younger and healthy. Kasi if she’s not as healthy and then decides to have surgery eh baka hindi na payagan. Knee replacements are routine in the states. You get to walk with the help of PT relatively fast. One factor for deciding surgery sooner than later for your parent is that success of surgery is better in younger patients than in older patients.
7:14 PM look up Jiffy knee me page sila sa fb, si hubby sa tagal mag decide me nagkwento abt them Dr. Pattel ng Virginia kami pumunta, less than an hour lang ang surgery, 1 hr recovery at outpatient. Ibang klase ang way nila than other knee replacement surgeon. Look them up baka makatulong.
Maraming pagdadaanan na different kinds of laboratory analyses ang mga human implants to make sure na they are compatible to human bodies and avoid complications. I work in a lab in Germany and we do analize implants for different parts of the body.
Actually breast reduction is recommended or advised for those with back pains. Hindi yan bastos. You will be surprised that such procedure could be covered by insurance if ur big tits is affecting your health.
Always seek second & third medical opinions but at the end of the day the patient gets to decide after physicians tell them the procedure, risks & what patients need to expect.
Within 48hrs dapat nag start ng PT nya. After the 1st PT sya ng nag drive para sa sarili nya at kahit me konting sakit nakakagawa na sya ng mga gusto nyang gawin within limits lang.
I think it was important for her to have relief agad kase di na din sya makalakad and masakit sobra. Nawala yung sakit yun yung naramdaman nya kaagad after the surgery. And she wants to spend more quality time with her kid. So yun she was seeking relief sa pinagdadaanan nya.
1:14 I agree with you on almost everything except nung after first PT, nag drive na agad. We’re not recommending patients to drive immediately after this type of surgery. That is not safe
3:34 nagsasabi lang ako ng totoo if you go to the page of this clinic ang mga nagpapatotoo ganyan din sinasabi, after 2 days di na sila ng narcotics aspirin na lang ang gamit nila. Ibang way ang knee replacement nila so mas madaling maka recover. He was asked to do what he usually do normally the next day with walker of course, walang pa bebe to get back to normal asap.
Best decision she made. As a physical therapist and as a daughter, whose mom waited 15 years to get the surgery done, time was wasted. Mom could have travelled and lived a pain free life those 15 years. It’s out patient procedure here now in the US.
Sana okay ang lahat dahil ang hip replacement is a major procedure in our body and longer talaga ang healing process. At least she tried and if yung mga seniors na nag hip replacement had successful recovery, I am sure she will do just fine.
Medyo bata nga sya for hip surgery but if advanced stage yung AVN, hip replacement naman talaga bagsak nya. As for the timing of the hip replacement, it's a conversation that has to be made with her doctor. Glad that she did proper research and was able to advocate for herself. Personally I always ask patients if they have any questions regarding their condition and what I plan and if may procedure, explain yung gagawin, risks, downsides, etc. and I encourage them to inform themselves din kasi katawan naman nila yun. Quality of life naman talaga usapan and if hip replacement will afford her that, go lang. Malaking bagay yung nagagawa mo everyday activities mo, pain free.
Did you even watch? Pang 3rd opinion na niya yan. First niya sa ibang hospital then 2nd yung surgery niya2-3 mos ago na lalong naging brittle yung bones.
My husband 56 years old has 3hips replacement in a span of 10years he recovered pretty fast naman. Dahil daw sa mga meds na iniinom nya it's weakening his bones.. the last surgery nga the doctor did something to level his legs kasi hindi na nag pantay patagilid na mag lakad husband ko if not wearing his special shoes. Hope you recover fast Angie.
May friend ako na same condition as hers. Gusto din nya mag hip replacement surgery for quality life kasi early 50s pa lang sya. Sadly, she cannot afford it. Hirap sya kumilos and hanggang PT lang muna sya now. So, yung decision ni Angelica, tama since afford nya and bata pa sya. Her body will adapt and may chance sya talaga to live a full life after she recovers.
If taga PH sya marami naman channels where she can seek financial assistance or go sa gov't hospital to save on hospital costs and pinaka main gastos na lang nya is yung implant.

I consider mine a very successful procedure and recovery. Wish Angelica the best.

agreed sa enumeration mo. Love watching their vlogs subtle lang and not all about Bean yung aabangan mo lang talaga yung pagsulpot ni Bean.Beautiful family❤️
This is very common sa US and European countries ang 'hip replacement surgery'. But sa true lang napakamahal nitong procedure na to...lalo sa pinas na ilan lang makka afford kaya ung iba tiis tiis nalng.. stage 3 na cya collapsed na ung bone a loob kaya. Get well soon, Angge
Kung sa Pinas, sasabihin lang nila sa 80 y.o., you are too old na for the procedure. Considering nga na bata pa si Angge mas may kakayanan siyang makarecover at sorry for the words, but you can tell naman na may disiplina at may inspirasyon siya to get better because she has a young family pa. Alam naman ng consultants nya na stage 3 na pero diniscourage talaga siya not to have it and instead made her fear it pa. Can't imagine myself being told to stay in bed and tiisin na lang ang lahat when they too say hindi na maagapan pag stage 3.
So that people who have options and money can decide properly. DeleteGet well soon Angge! Good luck sa surgery and recovery mo.
Kc its gonna considered foreign object diba??
ReplyDeleteHindi naman the body will adjust
