Unless you get paid for it or have a passion for it, or have the budget, its not easy. Love Marie makes it look easy but she built her presence for years, invested in it and she genuinely loves her haute couture and art. Above all, she's got the moolah.
It is the moolah but that makes it hard, I think for PW - invites can only get you so far. You also need to be a buyer you cant just get free clothes. Then you need pa the budget for travel, for fees, for pay of staff, for visa and such - it can very expensive. So unless she has someone paying for it or she herself us fronting the money, she'll struggle. She has to earn but also she must spend its a business. But can she earn, who will pay her? That is the question.

Sina HE kasi may balik kasi nakakakuha siya ng mga endorsements dahil sa image niya as fashionista, may bayad din kapag nakakuha siya ng partnership sa mga postings niya sa IG. Eh si Rosenda kaya? Tapos ang meal pa parati eh mga caviar, lobster etc..

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately nobody from the Philippines gets paid to attend FW. They maybe get freebies but no actually payment what you do with that exposure is where you get your money like endorsements etc get your name out there. For some attendees that don't really do the rounds of FW those are sponsored trips so they are paid to attend. Wala pa sa level ng k-pop or Hollywood celeb who get paid to seat on the front row and they don't have to go to multiple shows only one. Now that's power so please, some need stop to dreaming 🤣

If you’re curious about the money, well, these celebrities earn more than enough to spend a couple of millions for FW. Heart, for one, gets a lot of endorsement contracts that are worth millions. Barya lang yung fashion week cost estimate mo don, which is so weird by the way, because napaglaanan mo talaga ng time mag list down ng cost? Wala ka na bang ibang hanapbuhay?

DeletePeople here questioning baghag —- nahahalata na hindi nagbabasa at naging interested lang sa fashion recently. I have been following baghag for close to 20 years (along with chuvaness). She can be matapobre at times (hence, I unfollowed her sa IG), pero matagal na sya sa fashion biz (not fashionista ha, which lagi naman nya sinasabi). Before HE married Chiz and got all the moolah boost and was able to attend FW, si baghag matagal ng umaatend as a writer and friend of the house.
ReplyDeleteAs to business class ticket - yes, $3k is possible. Guys, a quick google search makikita nyo yan. Milan business class tickets are actually cheaper than most —- less than $3k even during FW. You can get there for $2.5k pa nga. Paris biz class also nasa $3k.

Heart E. made FW popular here sa PH pero a lot of unknown rich people nagaattend na ng FW before. Kasi part ng VIP privilege ang umattend ng FW at bumili ng runway pieces na di mo basta2 makikita sa mga boutique.
