It's awesome that there are people who have the time, patience, love in taking care of animals from the shelter. However, there are also 1st time pet owners, the elderly, those who don't have time, etc. who don't have the time and patience to take care of animals who mostly have a lot of healing and issues to deal with.
There are other fur parents (including ME) na ayaw mag adopt because of some VALID reasons like the age or behavior of the said animal, or health reasons and the lists goes on. Wag po tayo mag encourage kung di naman napag-aaralan ng husto. There are many ways on how to lessen the population of stray animals.
Me namili talaga ako ng dog breed na yung temperament is swak sa personality ko which includes being tahimik kasi I live in a condo. I chose to get a chowchow. He barely barks. First two months nya never tumahol that I even got worried. LOL. Aspins are mongrels and they are mixed breeds so di mo talaga ma-sure if yung temperament is swak sa personality mo. I told my partner na once we have a house of our own, mag aadopt na ko ng aspin. Para kahit anong temperament ok lang.
You're ignorant on the adoption process. A pet will be matched to you and you'll undergo screening before adopting a pet. Don't discourage others from adopting from shelters, it's a way to give stray dogs and cats a second chance in life. One way to lessen is to stop buying from backyard breeders. I don't like cats pero totoo nga yung sabi nila na cats choose their humans. 3 years old na siya ngayon at whiskas lang pinapakain ko sa kanya (dry and wet food). Never siya sumampa sa mesa namin kapag isda ang ulam. Kaya si mama panatag ang loob kahit nakabalandra lang yung bangus sa mesa. Kaya 11:02, it's your decision to adopt or not to adopt. Kadalasan nga, yung pusa pa ang mamimili kung sinong mag-aalaga sa kanila. Huwag mong masamain yung sinabi ni Janella. May sarili kang utak.

They're both indoor cats, updated ang vaccine shots, pinagbboil pa ng chimken at kalabasa, vitamins, orijen dry food..sadly Blanca (un persian) crossed the rainbow bridge na. 😠Buti na lang malakas pa din resistensya ni puspin (Maja) kaya parang magkadugtong na bituka nila ng nanay ko. 😅 Sabi nya wag na kami maghanap ng replacement ni Blanca, mamumulot na lang daw sya once she's done grieving

Deleteandaming aspins nagkalat sa kalye. Shelter/adoption/rescuing strays are not enought. Dapat mga baranggay may pa-progeam, ipa-neuter/spay mga aspins
