  1. Im sorry but if you name your pet with your surname and serious ka, may mali na sayo. Ok lang as a joke. I mean even Karl Laferfeld hindi umabot sa ganyan sa cat nya.

    1. Hindi umabot, my @ss.

    7. That's the big difference between them and you 1238. They don't treat their dogs as pet but as a FAMILY! Kaya siguro di ka maka relate.

    8. Where we live in Wales, for the neighbours to know whose sheepdog is playing or watching the sheep in the fields, they use the lastname to identify. My FIL has 2 super smart sheepdogs. One of them is called Fin Jones, the other is Brin Jones. The last name, while not legal, identifies the dogs as part of our family and we take responsibility for them. Ganun lang yan. Dogs have great spirits. They deserve to be named as part of the famiky that loves them too

    9. 12:38 Kapal mo naman. Eh gustong idikit ng fur parent un surname niya sa alaga niya/fur baby niya ANO ANG PAKIALAM MO? SOBRANG MAY MALI SA'YO

    12. ganyan talaga. kasi pag pinavet mo yung pet mo, like yung dog namin, ang sinusulat ng vet na sa health card nila is their name plus yung apelyido ng owner.

Sa fur parents, walang masama isama yung nga fur babies niyo in public, but please be mindful lang sa ibang tao dahil hindi lahat pet lover like you, meron mga may trauma with dogs dahil nakagat sila or just plain allergic sila diba? Ang pet na dala dala in public hindi dapat basta basta nakakalapit sa ibang tao and vice versa.

    17. Fyi po may vet hospital that lists the pet’s name with the owner’s surname in their records

    19. Actually sa vet they use the surname of the owner din. When my dog was confined natuwa ako nasa label ng cage nya name nya and my surname.

      Delete

    21. I am not sure how it is done in other vet clinics, but in our Vet our pets' names are given our surname in the records. When I first saw it, it made me happy because it feels they included in our "family" and which they are. So it is not a big surprise to see pets with furparents' surname.

      Delete

      Delete
    23. 12:38
Modern vet clinics attach the surnames to the names of their patients for proper filing of records.
      It’s not a silly practice. It’s formality.

We have 5 beautiful fur babies at lahat cla nakaapelyido sa amin because they are family at hndi bsta alaga lng na tagabantay ng bahay.

    2. True. Let's respect LIFE irrespective of breed. Dogs and cats have the purest of heart.

    3. Yes! Aspins are so much healthier and smarter than other dogs.

Pag may breed kasi malakas yung in-breeding kaya maraming recessive traits na naiinherit.

Mabuti pa sila naappreciate nila mga aspins unlike most of us

      Delete
I went to Vietnam and Thailand at may mga same breed din na ganyan stray dogs.

And most importantly, no dog was also killed and mistreated for the issue to generate this kind of reaction sa mga tao. If a dog was killed, maiintindihan ko pa.

    2. Yes, im with you on this 7:52 AM. Di naman minaltrato yong aso or pinandirihan, maaring na-descriminate oo, but for sure may rason din namn siguro yong manager. Malay ba natin kung maraming tao pala that time na nag dine-in.

It's bad enough na nga that local aspins and puspins are abused, neglected, abandandoned, at mangingilan lang nagaadopt. Tapos itong si Yoda who was given a better life was still turned away simply because he's an Aspin. Thank God for Heart, Carla, etc who fights for the rights of aspins and puspins. Gets mo na ba?

    7. hindi mo gets, the said restaurant claimed as PET friendly and allowed nila ang mga pets, except sa pag kakataon na naganap.

      Delete
    8. It's more about the "pet friendly" establishment not being clear on their rules kasi. The good thing is they've set clearer guidelines na after the issue blew up on social media. If no one raised the matter, it could happen again.

      Delete
    9. Kitid utak mo. A restaurant that supposedly allows pets to dine with their fur parents, hindi inallow kasi Aspin.

    11. I am the one who commented. We have 7 dogs at home, 6 of them are aspins. I also have 6 cats. But if my dog wasn't allowed at a resto, hindi ako magrereact ng ganyan. Their resto, their rules. Napaka entitled nyo bukod sa OA. Sige sabihin na nating mali yung resto, but does it really deserve to get this level of anger and hate from you people? AGAIN, HINDI LANG INALLOW YUNG ASO SA LOOB. Hindi minaltrato or pinatay. Mga OA. Haha.

  7. for the modern pet owner, Dr. Serpell offered this advice: “By all means enjoy your dog’s companionship. But dogs are not people. Get to know the animal from its own perspective instead of forcing them to comply with yours. It enables you to vicariously experience the life of another being.”

So dont treat them lile human beings.

    2. Yes they're not humans but we still need to show compassion and love towards them. We're lucky we are humans but what if it's the other way around? Could you still say the same? Hindi OA ang pahalagahan sila kasi minsan abused or sinasaktan na sila they still show loyalty and love to their owners.

      Delete

      Delete
    4. 2:48pm ok naman na pahalagahan sila but what makes them happy and thrive is different from us. They need good food, rest, exercise and recreation. Jusmio, hindi for their well being ang nasa stroller at ipasyala sa masikip at mataong lugar kung saan sila masstress noh.

    5. 8:21 and 5:16 thank you for your level-headedness. Madalas kasi feeling ng mga pet-owners ay they're doing their pets a favor by treating them like humans. They are not. And what we enjoy as human beings may not necessarily be enjoyable for animals.

To quote, "Now some animal welfare ethicists and veterinary scientists are wondering if, in our efforts to humanize our pets, we’ve gone too far. The more we treat pets like people, they argue, the more constrained and dependent on us our pets’ lives have become, and the more health and behavioral issues our pets develop.

“We now view pets not only as family members but as equivalent to children,” said James Serpell, an emeritus professor of ethics and animal welfare at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. “The problem is, dogs and cats are not children, and owners have become increasingly protective and restrictive. So animals are not able to express their own doggy and catty natures as freely as they might.”

A few years ago, Dr. Herzog vacationed on the island of Tobago, and spent much of the time watching the stray dogs that roamed the landscape. “I asked myself: ‘Would I rather live in Manhattan as a pampered dog, or would I rather be a dog in Tobago hanging out with my friends?’” Dr. Herzog said. He concluded: “I’d rather be a dog in Tobago.”

  8. Sorry not sorry pero ang OA ng issue na to to the max. Any establishment reserves the right to decide, even harap harapan lang, who they will allow into their OWN establishment. Maybe nagkatalo sila sa classification ng medium dog, fine, but the final decision is sa resto management naman talaga. You cannot DEMAND access. Baka lumaki na aso niya since last visit. She should have walked away and found elsewhere to eat. Wala ba siyang business? She knows how badly this will affect the biz and the employees pero nagpost pa rin siya over a simple rejection she could have brushed off.

    1. Don't give an opinion if you don't know the whole story. The fact na nakapunta na sila dati sa BD with Yoda, pero bakit ngayon biglang nagiba ang rules? Weight daw then breed na sunod. Obviously making excuses not to let an aspin in. Yun yung issue dito. It was their choice to be pet friendly but sa may breeds lang siguro.

      Delete
    5. @4:17 pwedeng nagbago na yung size at weight ni aspin on this visit ano? And so what kung judged siya on his weight and breed? That's is the resto's call. Their resto their rules. Wala ba kayong business at di niyo naiisip lahat ng risks, at the end of the day the management balances risks vs what they can allow

      Delete
    6. Halatang mga breed lovers kayo or don't have pets. Sino ba mas mabigat aspin or labrador and sheds more fur? Hindi dapat PET FRIENDLY lagay nila but BREED FRIENDLY. Gets nyo na ba?

      Delete
