Here in the US dogs are not allowed in restaurants except for service dogs and they’re only allowed sa sidewalk dining and outdoor restos. It’s a food safety issue because of the bacteria and allergies na pwedeng makuha ng ibang diners. So I take my dog sa mga outdoor dining places. Dito basta may kitchen bawal ang aso FDA regulation yon.

Daming mahina ang reading comprehension at understanding dito. Ang problema dito is that BD is a pet friendly place kuno but nagdiscriminate against letting an aspin in, hindi dahil bawal ang pets sa resto, GETS?
Kayong mga maarte na dapat leave your pets at home but still chooses to eat sa mga pets allowed restos ang dapat adjust or fine somewhere else to eat. Kayo lang ba ang anak ng Diyos dahil tao kayo? Minsan mas mabuti pa puso ng aso at pusa kesa sa inyo!
I have 4 cats. 2 persian, 2 puspin. So malamang I don't bring my pets when we dine out kasi di naman sila obedient na nagwa-walk when leashed.
But I'm mindful naman na if the restaurant is labelling themselves as pet-friendly, then I'm prepared to see dogs (or even the occasional cats in backpacks) there. If the restaurant wants to appeal or pagkaperahan the pet owners eh directive na nila yun. If I'm not in the mood to encounter dogs then there are other restaurants that don't allow pets we can explore--pero usually we don't bother looking somewhere else na kasi fortunately, the dog owners we encounter naman ay hindi balahura.
Ang issue dito is because for a Filipino restaurant that labels itself as "pet-friendly", they turned away an aspin simply because it's a local dog. It's like an establishment saying, "uy wala kaming dress code dito!" kaya may mga patrons na nakapambahay lang, pero they'll turn you away kasi hindi man lang Havaianas yung tatak ng tsinelas mo.
It's not a case of mabaho ba or unruly ba or wala bang leash or wala bang diaper, because the dog owner is responsible and the dog is very well-groomed naman unlike the homeless aspins you see on the streets. Magda-diaper pa nga yung dog diba. And it isn't even about the size either, because the restaurant had no issues accepting labradors and larger (foreign!) breeds.
Kaya if this restaurant wants the patronage of pet owners, then ayusin nila ang policy nila nang walang nadidiscriminate na breed. Kung ayaw naman nila ng pets then that's okay too, because honestly, it's their ambiance and location that's more worth coming back for, not their food per se. 😂
Maraming pet lovers hindi maintindihan na hindi lahat kagaya niyo. Kung kayo okay lang magdilaan ng aso niyo hindi lahat ganon. Yung mga balahibo nila lumilipad sa mga plato namin. Yung ingay nila kada kakahol nakakawalang gana sa totoo lang. Malalang experience ko sa pet lover? Lumabas ng restaurant as in sa ibang kulay ng tiles paglabas ng signage ng restaurant sa podium naglatag ng pet pee pads. Akala ata niya nakaka bilib yung ginawa niya. So habang kumakain ang mga tao pinapanood namin ng aso na umiihi at biglang tumae. Okay diba? Gumawa kayo ng sarili niyong mall na para sa pet lovers!
Pet friendly lang po yung store, hindi po pet restaurant lol. Mahina comprehension ng mga pet owners na nasobrahan sa entitlement. Wag daw magdine in dun mga tao 😆
There are places where it is proper to bring your dogs, and there are places where it's not right. Pls don't bring your pets to a public place just because you can. Since when has it been right to give preferential treatment to animals over places or activities that are meant to be enjoyed safely by people? Just because we advocate for something does not mean we should neglect other things -- moreso basic ones. Parks are good for pets, but malls and restaurants are not. How can pet owners justify bringing pets in a mall/restaurant and assume that everyone there is fine with it or no one has animal phobia? Sure you put them on a leash, they're friendly, but what about their noise? And if people call it out, it's animal cruelty/discrimination? Pet owners, pls exercise discretion. A public place is called just that, "public", because it concerns "people" not animals. Fight me.
Hindi problema kung mag bawal ng pets sa kahit anong establishment. Ang mali sa Balay Dako e nag PR sila na pet friendly sila, pero may arbitrary rules nung may aspin na ipapasok. Biglang may weight limit na wala namang basis (and turns out up to big dogs ang pwede sa kanila). Yun yung issue dito. Fight me ka pa diyan. Magbasa ka muna nang maayos.
It's either pet friendly ka na establishment or hindi. Or if maarte kayo msydo post nyo mga rules and regulations nyo, hindi yung dahil feel nyo lang that time.

Yung store lang nmn nagaadvocate nyan pet friendly kuno, pero deep inside ng mga staff jan imbyerna syempre magwalis/vaccuum ng balahibo ng di mo naman alaga, dagdag trabaho pa sa knila yan
napansin ko lang din maraming naka pet stroller sa mga malls.. naka wagon pa ung iba and they use elevators... may times na hnd kami makasakay ng elevator because occupied na ng strollers with pets and I have a toddler na may toddler din.. so ang ending kaming may babies ang nag use ng escalator na lang kasi matagal elevator here sa ph and limited.
Buti pa sa japan may nagcocontroll ng elevator... hnd pinapapasok or pinag giveway na lang ung not priority samin mga may babies..
Kung pinayagan kaya sila magdine in kasama yung aspin after nya makipagdebate sa manager, do u think lalabas sya na happy sa resto? Ending nyan, marami parin sya reklamo. Nasa isip parin nya nadiscriminate sila nung askal, kaya buong araw masama loob nya. For sure kun naka dine in sila dun, wag sana mapagtripan order mo sa kitchen lol.
Imagine yung pet owner makipagtalo ka pa sa manager over sa ganyang issue, ginalit ang sarili😆 minsan choose your battles. Tapos ninonormalize na ngayon kada may complaints over matters, nakapost agad sa socmed🤣 di po yan ang tamang venue, unless gusto nio manira.

Nilalagay nila dogs nila sa top ng table, pinapainom using the restaurant’s bowl, yung same bowl na kinakainan ng tao, they don’t care kung magtatahol mga aso nila and worse nakita ko eh dumumi yung aso kinuha ng tissue at inabot sa waiter like wtf!

DeleteHere in the US dogs are not allowed in restaurants except for service dogs and they’re only allowed sa sidewalk dining and outdoor restos. It’s a food safety issue because of the bacteria and allergies na pwedeng makuha ng ibang diners. So I take my dog sa mga outdoor dining places. Dito basta may kitchen bawal ang aso FDA regulation yon.

ReplyDeleteSo you can’t leave your dog at home for a few hours to eat out? We have a Belgian mal and we keep her in the house while going out and about with our life. She’s house train so she just watch tv while at home. While most places allows pet inside, we just don’t want to inconvenience other patrons who maybe allergic to certain pets. I guess we have better maturity than other pet owners.

Saka as dog owners alam natin na unhygienic ang mga balahibo na pakalat kalat. Never kong sinama aso ko sa indoor dining. Dami kasing entitled lalo na sa Pinas. Dogs are still animals and di mo maiiwasan na meron talaga tahol ng tahol.

ReplyDeleteKaya I love growing up and living in Thailand. There are many restos and pet-friendly places with no discrimination. As a matter of fact, there are cafes for pets talaga. Thais are more caring and loving to animals compared to Filipinos. Every time I visit Philippines, my heart breaks for the street dogs and cats. In Thailand, even street dogs and cats are well-fed that you'd think someone owns them.

I have 4 cats. 2 persian, 2 puspin. So malamang I don't bring my pets when we dine out kasi di naman sila obedient na nagwa-walk when leashed.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm mindful naman na if the restaurant is labelling themselves as pet-friendly, then I'm prepared to see dogs (or even the occasional cats in backpacks) there. If the restaurant wants to appeal or pagkaperahan the pet owners eh directive na nila yun. If I'm not in the mood to encounter dogs then there are other restaurants that don't allow pets we can explore--pero usually we don't bother looking somewhere else na kasi fortunately, the dog owners we encounter naman ay hindi balahura.
Ang issue dito is because for a Filipino restaurant that labels itself as "pet-friendly", they turned away an aspin simply because it's a local dog. It's like an establishment saying, "uy wala kaming dress code dito!" kaya may mga patrons na nakapambahay lang, pero they'll turn you away kasi hindi man lang Havaianas yung tatak ng tsinelas mo.
It's not a case of mabaho ba or unruly ba or wala bang leash or wala bang diaper, because the dog owner is responsible and the dog is very well-groomed naman unlike the homeless aspins you see on the streets. Magda-diaper pa nga yung dog diba. And it isn't even about the size either, because the restaurant had no issues accepting labradors and larger (foreign!) breeds.
Kaya if this restaurant wants the patronage of pet owners, then ayusin nila ang policy nila nang walang nadidiscriminate na breed. Kung ayaw naman nila ng pets then that's okay too, because honestly, it's their ambiance and location that's more worth coming back for, not their food per se. 😂
Maraming pet lovers hindi maintindihan na hindi lahat kagaya niyo. Kung kayo okay lang magdilaan ng aso niyo hindi lahat ganon. Yung mga balahibo nila lumilipad sa mga plato namin. Yung ingay nila kada kakahol nakakawalang gana sa totoo lang. Malalang experience ko sa pet lover? Lumabas ng restaurant as in sa ibang kulay ng tiles paglabas ng signage ng restaurant sa podium naglatag ng pet pee pads. Akala ata niya nakaka bilib yung ginawa niya. So habang kumakain ang mga tao pinapanood namin ng aso na umiihi at biglang tumae. Okay diba? Gumawa kayo ng sarili niyong mall na para sa pet lovers!

ReplyDeleteThere are places where it is proper to bring your dogs, and there are places where it's not right. Pls don't bring your pets to a public place just because you can. Since when has it been right to give preferential treatment to animals over places or activities that are meant to be enjoyed safely by people? Just because we advocate for something does not mean we should neglect other things -- moreso basic ones. Parks are good for pets, but malls and restaurants are not. How can pet owners justify bringing pets in a mall/restaurant and assume that everyone there is fine with it or no one has animal phobia? Sure you put them on a leash, they're friendly, but what about their noise? And if people call it out, it's animal cruelty/discrimination? Pet owners, pls exercise discretion. A public place is called just that, "public", because it concerns "people" not animals. Fight me.
ReplyDeleteHindi problema kung mag bawal ng pets sa kahit anong establishment. Ang mali sa Balay Dako e nag PR sila na pet friendly sila, pero may arbitrary rules nung may aspin na ipapasok. Biglang may weight limit na wala namang basis (and turns out up to big dogs ang pwede sa kanila). Yun yung issue dito. Fight me ka pa diyan. Magbasa ka muna nang maayos.

ReplyDeletenapansin ko lang din maraming naka pet stroller sa mga malls.. naka wagon pa ung iba and they use elevators... may times na hnd kami makasakay ng elevator because occupied na ng strollers with pets and I have a toddler na may toddler din.. so ang ending kaming may babies ang nag use ng escalator na lang kasi matagal elevator here sa ph and limited.
