You're wasting our time." Pinapapa step by step un rape PUBLICLY. Mga ganung bagay sa complaint, NBI at court na lang sinasabi kasi those are sensitive matters
“Stop wasting our time!” Why did they even have to take it up in the Senate in the first place. In aid of legislation? Did the victim really have to go relive his harrowing experience for these senators to make laws, and in front of TV cameras?
yes, napanood ko some parts of that hearing. grabe, kung ganyan nila itatrato ang mga invited nila na witnesses to testify IN AID OF LEGISLATION, parang tinatrato kang kriminal? kahit mga biktima kung tratuhin bastos. aba ikaw na nga tumutulong para magawa nila ang trabaho nila, babastusin ka pa? nakakapanginig ng laman talaga.
OA naman talaga si Jinggoy. And please, there is a proper court na dapat mag investigate sa kaso ni Sandro. Let the judge do their job!
Napaghahalata tuloy na wala silang alam. Why did they allow this in the first place? Anong alam nya? Seriously. Kawawa mga victims lalong nato traumatize.
Exactly! These senators think they are high and mighty but the truth is, they lack skills and qualifications to become one. They like to grandstand thinking they are more effective if they do it this way.
Kulang na nga sa talino, kulang pa sa good manners and right conduct. Please don't vote for these kind of people.
Bravo Ms. Karen! You gained my respect when I gt to know you more through your vlogs and you being a God fearing individual. You are an inspiration!
Ewan ko pero napaka panget nila makipagusap. Walang man Lang Ka professionalism parang Hindi mga senado. The way they speak. Parang walang substance.
Pero I know medyo malabo yan.
Sana man lang they maintained professionalism and respect kahit pa hindi sila lawyers.
Exactly the way he spoke to Gerald Santos very disappointing. I thought baka naman na sensationalize lang ng media so I watched the whole Senate inquiry my GOD I was shocked. Watching it I saw how Niño teared up while listening to Gerlad's story alam mo talaga sino ung may mabuting puso kahit sila mismo may pinagdadaanan nakikinig sya at nakikisimpatiya kahit di sya nagsasalita kita mo sa body language nya na concerned sya kay Gerald.
Can somebody enlighten me, why this case is in the Senate? Cases like rape, sexual harassment and the like should be dealt in a proper venue where victims will feel safe and not allowing other people to judge them, thus the reason of not coming out or filing a complaint immediately. Is there any Special Victims unit to handle this case? Wala ba proper court sa Pinas to do this? Did the senate study Psychology to deal with this kind of trauma and incidents experienced by the victims?
It is supposed to be an inquiry “In Aid of Legislation”.
That would have been okay if they will deliberate that after the case is done. Once the case is heard and the verdict is done, they can review the case in the senate and pass or revise a bill. Will the Senate give the verdict on this case? Pardon, but I just do not know how it works back home. But, imagine the trauma the victim has to suffer on talking about the incident over and over on both the Court and the Senate. That must be so traumatizing, considering the case is still not taken up in the court.
Thats what we get for electing clowns in the senate. Yan lang yung issue na kaya nilang sakyan dahik marami sa kanila from showbiz and even on that, sablay pa yung pag question nila.
It was so obvious that Jinggoy was defending GMA dun sa case ni Gerald Santos. He even asked Gerald bakit ka nandito and ano gusto mo mangyari. Ang bastos talaga. Di the senate committee invited him? Wag na iboto yan. Walang kwenta! I hope hindi yan mangyari sa kapamilya mo.
I couldn’t even watch when it was Gerald’s turn na, it was so heartbreaking. And he had the audacity to ask why it took him 5 years to file a complaint? He was an aspiring singer back then, he was just 15 years old, a minor. He was scared!
Spare Karen from this drampolitics. She’s good at where she’s at and I don’t think gugustuhin nya. Ok na na may Risa sa senado. Malumanay pero lumalaban.
Actually bakit pa ba pinupublic yung senate hearing.
At least may background on political science or best if abogado talaga. Never ako bumoto ng artista.
Lahat ng tanong niya will not help in aid of legislation. Gusto lang mang din at mamahiya. Obvious naman na BIAS!
I know somebody who revealed her molestation when she is so old already. As in working na sya and I think she is going through therapy seasions baka di nya maconquer inner demon nya. It caused a dispute in her family. Even my parents said the same thing and I am shocked kasi I know mabuti tao nanay ko pero i think nasa mentality na talaga ng pinoy
This is typical Filipino mentality, I know not all but most as I went through the same thing. My parents were the old typical Filipino family "pamilya sagrado". It came to a point where they blame the victim (which is my daughter) instead of the culprit (which is my brother in law). In the end, you have to just cut off relations if they are going to insist on the wrongs. It was difficult but it was best for our mental health and sanity especially my daughter.
Totally agree with Karen here! These senators think they know it all and act like they are above everyone else! Jinggoy Estrada should be reminded that he should act with compassion when it comes to these kind of issues as you will never know how it feels to be in this kind of situation until it happens to you or someone close to you!
These senators/law makers should know what their duties and responsibilities are. They serve the public not the other way around. They should be empathetic towards the victims and show a bit of compassion. Do they even realize how difficult this must be for the victims to relive all the traumatic experiences they went through. And to put you through a public scrutiny is like pouring salt to the wound again. This truly saddens me. :(

DeleteGood job Karen. Shame on you, Jinggoy!

ReplyDeleteAGREE!!!!! 'tong si Jinggoy kala mo kay linis!
ReplyDeleteyep and he was convicted for graft and corruption.

ReplyDeleteWell-said, Karen Davila.

DeletePlease! Grandstanding senators without any regards for victims should be called out! Victim blaming is just unacceptable
