Just because you didn't know these veteran singers' hit songs (including Regine, Ogie, and other 60s, 70s, and 80s OPM icons) doesn't mean they didn't exist in Philippine Music. Don't expect Google and Wikipedia to know it all unless you have a collection of the song mags during their eras. They are respected in the music industry until now for reasons not just for Eme.
Common sense na lang, they are respected in the industry because they earned it by themselves through their talents and with the support of people around them. Don't discredit their achievements if you weren't born in the era when OPM was made to be classics of the future generations.
