Indeed, educating people on how to treat animals is the best solution. Compassion alone but not knowing pano alagaan ang animals eh wala din silbi yan.
Sa ibang bansa they can afford to have wild animals kasi ang lalaki tlg ng lugar and theyre free to roam around. Been to SF zoo, ang laki nya. Animal lover wud understand..in fact im teary eyed typing this..kawawa
(Sorry long comment). Ako lang ba takot sa malalaking (actually even smaller ones too) animals kapag nasa zoo?
I remember nung undergraduate pa lang ako in my Animal Behavior class, our professor highly encouraged us to observe animals in our surroundings rather than going to the zoo for our final project kasi it will be hard to study animals na nasa zoo kasi they're not at their natural habitat.
I hope there's a better way to showcase animals na hindi nasa zoo kasi we all deserve to live in a place we call home, not just house ☹️ okay exit na ko thanks ✌️
If you have the means to visit or experience the world largest natural zoo habitat, it is in North Carolina it is big about 2square kilometers that it takes all day to visit. The elephant and giraffe’s enclosures alone are massive. I can’t say that the lions and primates have bigger enclosures that mimics their natural habitat. Syempre mahigpit ang rules at training doon ng mga employees at may zoo rep sila na constantly teaching about the animals, Interactive, nothing compare to Chavit’s backyard zoo, pero he should at least hire a qualified staff na may care sa hayop.
My heart breaks.
That’s it
Oover naman kayo to condemn the zoo. With the right management beneficial po ang zoo for animal education, specially majority of zoo visitors are family with young kids. Most zoos in the first world countries hiraman sila ng animals to be paired to help increase their dwindling population. They rarely get their animals from the wild, they breed them themselves, reputable zoo provide lots of stimulations to their animals and their advance technologies help nurse animals from the wild example seaworld kumukupkop sila from turtle to sharks and whales when they get sick then return them to sea. Mga zoo rin ang responsible for increasing the population of at risk crocodile like yung zoo sa germany kinupkop yung crocs natin then ibinalik sa atin. Yung animal sanctuary na mga sinasabi nyo not all of them are regulated/ obey the strict rules mas malala nga sila when it comes to animal abuse.
There are zoos, and there are sanctuaries. Magkaiba yun. Zoos' main purpose is to profit via captive animals to provide human entertainment (whether curiosity, amusement, excitement, content). Any breeding, rehabilitation, or rescue ultimately falls into the profit mainline. Sanctuaries' main purpose is to provide protection, not profit. Any exhibit or entertainment provided by the sanctuary is directed to it's program. Any profit the sanctuaries make ultimately falls into the protection. Seaworld is a bad example. For every animal they rescue, they make you pay dollars every time they make a dolphin dance for you. So 40k, 50k animals rescued? Is that their kunsensya for the billions they make with whales enslaved and jailed in a toilet room until they commit suicide?
It's the 21st century, 2024. Zoos are obsolete. Everything can be documented without disturbance. You can watch and learn about whales and lions without bringing them to your neighborhood na nakabox. Ban zoos, make more sanctuaries.
No one said that zoo and sanctuaries are the same, but the zoo get better regulations than sanctuaries example anyone from small town USA with acreage can open a sanctuary as long as they have acreage and funding, but when the funding runs dry, shits happen, the maltreatments of animals happen like illegal selling etc. Joe Exotics is a good example. How many people are jailed in the ol USA because they have the NON PROFIT sanctuaries but animals are not properly cared, most don't employ qualified staffs, at least the zoo they have to be accountable to their stockholders and go through rigorous laws that animals in the zoo get a better treatment and funding. If that can happen in the Land of Free USA how much more any sanctuary in the world will have the same problem. Like I said animals in the zoo are mostly didn’t come from the wild because they are captive and bred in the zoo they aren’t qualified to be rehab and set free. Open your eyes about the benefits of the zoo and the millions of dollars that they funnel through research to increase the population of threatened species. And that is just one example that they do. In fact when hurricanes come who did they call to rescue the wild animals? when Florida snd Texas winter was colder than the usuals who did they call?
Uneducated people do that, they hurt animals. This Lion 🦁 has the very right to devour that A-hole.
ReplyDeleteThis has more to do with compassion than education.
Delete12:21 Nope, if we educate people about animals, they will understand and treat animals better and eventually will have compassion through education.
DeleteIndeed, educating people on how to treat animals is the best solution. Compassion alone but not knowing pano alagaan ang animals eh wala din silbi yan. Parang naawa kalang pero wala kang ginwa.

DeleteJust leave the animals in the wild. And please send this poor one to an animal sanctuary.
DeleteThese inferior people have no right to abuse an apex predator.
As an animal lover this is heartbreaking to see. You can tell from the physical appearance of the lion that it is not well taken care of.
Deletei hope he someone gets free and eats the one who captivated him
Delete7:47 i hope not. you know what will happen if it hurt people, most likely people will kill the animal.
DeleteNung nalaman ko din ang truth about zoos, ayoko na isupport kasi naaawa ako sa animals in captivity, sa totoo lang. 😭
ReplyDeleteSame. Visit sanctuaries na lang. Kawawa animals sa zoos
DeleteSame reason why I don’t go to Sea World.

ReplyDeleteAgree!
Dapat may compassion. Dapat i fire yan at parusahan.
May gulay.
DeleteIba yun kasi personal pets nila yun.
DeleteSya kasi mayari mhie
Delete3:30 sa kanya yan
DeleteThis is not an animal sanctuary. Zoos and profiting from caging animals should be banned.

ReplyDeleteFREE THOSE ANIMALS!! Napaka selfish lang ng bumibili ng wild animals para pagkakitaan and for self entertainment!
ReplyDeleteMR. Chavit tigilan na po yan !!! Kitang kita di masaya si Lion King and others!
(Sorry long comment). Ako lang ba takot sa malalaking (actually even smaller ones too) animals kapag nasa zoo? Like ayaw ko lumapit masyado at medyo malayo sa enclosure nila. DeleteAgree parang slavery na nga rin
DeleteKaya nga sana dumating tau sa point na we can live together without thinking the other is a novelty
Set him free.
ReplyDeleteYung mga horses sa tagaytay forgot the name kawawa sila they look so bad
ReplyDeleteSakit. 😿
ReplyDeleteSad.
ReplyDeleteThis is heart breaking. Then only way to stop this animal abuse is stop supporting zoos.
Valid naman hanash niya and yet here you are hating.
DeleteIkaw hanash mu manuna palagi.
DeleteHindi sya hanash may malasakit sya. Advocacy ni Nadine yan.
DeleteAdvocacy niya or advocacy ng bf?!
DeleteAyaw ko talaga pumupunta sa zoo. I feel bad for the animals.
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks.

ReplyDeleteStrike against Zoos! Let animals live where they belong plsss
