  1. Ang manggagawa ay nagngangailanagan ng psychological break. Holidays do that. Don't take it away from them. If you really want to do it, then slash your months of holiday in the senate and congress first Months na paid.

    1. Exactly!!! I'm not sure kung pwede ba gamitin ang mental health day as an excuse para mag-absent sa work? Kasi dito sa bansa na nasan ako, medical reasons (including mental health day), walang choice kung hindi i-acknowledge ng employers without retaliation sa employees. The only downside is that a lot of people use medical reasons to play hooky.

    2. Ilan na ba holidays sa Pinas? Sa US kase 6 lang ang official non working holidays- Christmas, NY, Memorial day, Labor Day, 4th of July, at Thanksgiving.

Nakakaloka. Lesson learned wag pakialaman ang employee benefits. Filipinos are already underworked and overpaid. If you want the country to be competitive and attract foreign investors remove red tape, corruption, find solution to traffic and government stability hindi ung paibaiba rules pag nagpalit ng Presidente. If you want filipino workers to be motivated increase salary and make overtime pay mandatory kahit 30mins or 1hr lang hindi ung OTY sa ibang company also promote work life balance dont treat workers like slaves.

    3. Tamad lang kayo sa Korea, China at Japan nga grabe mag OT yung mga empleyado dun may quality yung work nila walang reklamo mas nakokonsinsya pa sila if umuwi sila di tapos yung trabaho.

      Delete
    4. remove corruption? Impossible. mga politicians dito may self interest kasi galing sa hirap kundi man third world country talaga yung mindset.

      Delete
    5. naswitched mo ata baks, we are overworked and underpaid. Yan mga nakaupong officials sila yon underwork and overpaid

      Delete
    6. Exactly. And a reliable transport system. That's the least that they can do to the taxpayers who fund their salaries and perks in the Senate and Congress.

      Delete
    7. 11:50 Pakitama po ang inyong "Filipinos are already underworked and overpaid".

      Delete
    8. Yes na switch overworked and underpaid tapos papakialaman pa ung holidays

    9. 1226. Kaya nga sila depress di ba? Kasi wala silang work-life balance.

      Delete

      Delete
    12. yep cpd in other countries is actuallya benefit provided by companies to employees. sila required to provide cpd opportunities to employees and to ewuate thus with an incentive or some kind of promotion once achieved or salary increase.

      Delete
    13. 12:26 di ka ba aware sa work culture ng japan? common sa kanila ang depression kasi wala silang work balance, overworked po sila fyi.

      Delete

      Delete
    15. 12:26 and its also one of the reasons ehy mataas ang suicide rate sa kanila. Work life balance nila mababa din. But you cant take away the fact that they still earn more than us, kahit pa dagdagan holiday nila.

Do you not see it? We have provincial rate and most workers on minimum wages umaasa sa double pay.

The problem here is not the number of holidays.

      Delete
    16. Baks, overworked and underpaid 🤣

      Delete

    1. Hay last sentence. I feel that. Kapagod na :(

    2. Agree sa inyo. Not all of us dress up and attend fashion shows as our "personal errands" 🙄 kainis siang mag-asawa

      Delete
    3. 1:05 fashion week is a job for heart kumikita sya dyan big time hindi yan "personal errands" lang sa kanya. international influencer si heart her contemporaries are the likes of chiara ferragni, leonie hanne etc. mga matagal na sa larangan na yan.

      Delete
    4. 1:23 precisely but what she earns during fashion week is nowhere near what a common employee. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon on their mouths and these people work a lot to give themselves and their families a better life. So whatever free day aka holiday they get is a time for them to take a break and rest/do errands. Gosh H and her fans are so blind, man.

      Delete
    5. 1:23 reading comprehension naman baks. Malamang yung senator ang tinutukoy. And I believe that’s not an Official trip

      Delete
    6. 2:24 ang sabi kasi baks "not all of us dress up and attend fashion shows" hindi naman nanonood ng fashion shows si chiz sa labas lang sya kaya si heart tinutukoy nya

      Delete
    7. 1:56 kinorrect lang ni 1:23 si 1:05 sa part ng "personal errands"

      Delete
    8. Lol you guys miss the point that Heart can choose her job whether it be high-paying or low-paying due to family's wealth. Oo, everyone also have the option but not everyone have the opportunity to do so because of the lack of wealth and opportunities for most.

      Delete
    9. Eh ano if thats a job for Heart and kumikita sya nag malaki?

Living in a bubble!!! Yan si Chiz should get off his freaking high horse.

    ReplyDelete
You don't have to always back up what your husband says.

      Delete
    2. Ng dahil sa dami din ng holidays and also pay rate, other BPO companies nag pullout na rin at lumipat sa India kasi mas makakasave ang companies dun compared aa Philippines.

      Delete

      Delete
    4. 2:45 international and local holidays ang sinusunod ng company

      Delete
    5. 2:45 international companies follow PH holidays, not only BPO. If may entity ka sa PH you follow PH law.
Ito hindi alm ng iba. Yes we all need holidays pero may disadvantage yan sa intl companies. If private ka may pasok padin on some holidays esp BPO ang masaklap double or 30% pay ang companies which is detrimental din for them. As a business owner I am in favor of reducing holidays kais masakit talaga sa bulsa, but inrease annual leaves ng employees. Madami na talaga nagpupullout na intl bpo dito because of this.

      Delete
    6. 2:45 - kami international BPO servicing AU and NZ we don't follow PH holidays. May pasok kami kahit holiday sa atin (with holiday pay) or holiday sa AU/NZ.

      Delete
    7. aynakuuu hard at work na mga bayarang trolls. wag niyo ko. we worked in a foreign company and di kami absent sa holidays pinapawork kami. we just got entitled to higher pay. afford na fford naman gn emolpyees. kalokohan yang india bs. unang una, kung nandito yung company in the first place it means may something unique to us kasi otehrwise wala talagang pipili sa atin over india dahil magulo dito kumpara doon .

      Delete
    8. 5:48 yes, iba ang perspective if you are a business owner. So kailangan hindi dehado ang mga workers. If babawasan holidays, dagdagan ang paid leave.

  20. Heart di yun fake news pakinggan mo sinabi ng asawa mo haha! palibhasa canceled sya ayan bigla bawi hahahaha wag kami!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Majority here do not understand the economics of non-working holidays. it is detrimental to the economy especially to small and medium enterprises. It is also not working in favor of people that are paid on hourly basis. Small business would rather close than pay extra for people to come in and work during the holiday.
Philippines has the most number of holidays in Asia.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Teh, compare mo din rate of pay ng PH employee with other SEA contries, Thailand and Malaysia for example, tapos compare mo din presyo ng basic goods. The nerve of him to compare us with 1st world countries where the pay and benefits are much better, not to mention the social services and govt support.

      Delete
    2. employees in other countries that have less holidays are paid well. in the PH, some of us welcome holidays as a chance to earn extra because the minimum salary here is so low. SMEs are not suffering because of wages, they are suffering because of extortion, red tape and taxes. why punish the workers who are already at the losing end?

also, maybe check Malaysia and Indonesian holidays.

      Delete
    3. Sure ka? China mostly implement 1 week non working holiday. Iilan lang pero 7 days off agad. Most advance countries din implement paid mandatory leaves. So hindi sila pagoda at haggard katulad dito.

      Delete
  22. Buti pa sa UAE ang daming holidays. Dyan sa Pinas ang daming sipsip. Haha

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
I never liked Chiz and his wife but on this issue, I understand his perspective. And no, hindi ako business owner. I am an employee too.

Puro sila lakwatsa, lamyerda, at bakasyon!

    ReplyDelete
Ano bang problema to ni Chiz.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Question kase di ko alam... kanino ba mas advantage tong ganito and bakit niya biglang naisipan? If yes, so kumukuha ba siya ng boto from them for the next election?

    ReplyDelete
  26. chiz bid your presidential dream goodbye. nakikita ng mga tao who are pro-capitalist, kasi you & most senators and congressman are businessmen

  32. For me sana bawasan yung yung special holidays lalo na yung lgu holidays. Kawawa din kasi yung mga no work - no pay kapag special holidays.
