Conflicting Testimonies

Customer service is essential nowadays. Sometimes, good customer service outweighs an ordinary dish. As long as the staff shows kindness and respect in a restaurant, diners can forgive the quality of food. By contrast, rude servers can negate the high quality of food served to customers.

These days, customers are very observant. Not only do they pay attention to the design of a food shop, but eyes are set on the servers as well. Perhaps timing is essential as different views have been expressed by netizens regarding Female Owner (FO).

As a regarded entrepreneur, FO does not merely sit down and watch customers patronize her shop. FO is hands-on and often present when the shop is open. Although her presence is appreciated by some customers, others are critical of her behavior. One time, FO was observed to be cranky towards the staff and customers. Customers who greeted FO were surprised that they were not acknowledged at all. Hence, her attitude began to weigh more than the food the shop serves.

‘To earn the respect (and eventually love) of your customers, you first have to respect those customers. That is why Golden Rule behavior is embraced by most of the winning companies.’ – Colleen Barrett

    1. This! They're not kids. They should be able to handle some kind of scolding or rebuking. Ang problem pa napansin ko our culture is such a way na pag sinabi mo ng maganda, it falls on deaf ears. Unless pagalitan mo ng medyo sternly o masungit, hindi seseryosohin. Sa village namin mga tao ke mayaman o ke mahirap ang kakapal ng apog. Yung mga drivers keep the cars' doors open blocking the sidewal. May nagbabadminton pa. Village to ha may oriper badminton court sila ayaw nila dun dila sa street outside their house. May iba pa matindi yung aso pinagdip dip ang paa sa pool Each and everytime sinabihan ng maayos tong nga to, sila pa nagagalit. Lalo na yung pool incident. May sign na NO PETS allowed, nagdadahilan pinayagan daw sila before. Ay grabe diba. Imagine mga maski pano educated na yan ganyan paguugali. Kulang talaga sa hiya mga Pilipino. Were taight kapalam ang apog and ignore hiya hiya. Ending ibang levels na kapal ng mukha at kawalanghiyaan or lack of sense of propriety or social norms.
