Nope! Divorce law still in effect though every state has different procedure. Some state need to have 1 year legal separation without sexual contact before divorce is granted. Some state doesn’t require year of separation and grant divorce quickly. However, in terms of abandonment, legal separation is out of the question and divorce can be granted right away.
You can divorce how many times you want according to civil law and get married how many time you want , butttt you can only get married in a Catholic Church again if you applied for annulment and granted from your first catholic wedding. Otherwise you are free to marry to any destination wedding, or any official with the power to sanctify your marriage , you just need to apply for your marriage license.
