    1. I’ll take smart out of the equation

    2. 1:26 Just because of the English issue, hindi na smart? She speaks Filipino and Spanish. She has a good career and business. For sure, she has her staff that she manages. I’m pretty sure she is smart. Kaloka mga pinoy. Mas Prefer nyo english na may accent kahit stupid in real life.

      Delete
    3. ang yabang mo 2:20. Just because she's not fluent in english? Marian is a bachelor's degree holder, and i'm almost sure has more accolades in life that you will ever achieve.

      Delete
    4. Kung di sya smart wala sya sa kinalalagyan nya ngayun n very successful in her chosen field.

      Delete
Haha

      Delete
    6. 1.26 kung hater ka, wag mo ipahalata. Sa tingin mo tatagal yan sa showbiz kung di yan smart lalo’t dami nya naging controversy in the past?

      Delete
    7. 1:26 again, English is a language, and not a measure of how smart a person is.

      Delete
    8. 2:20 marian doesnt speak spanish though.

    9. D porke magaling mag english smart na ha. You’re smart when you make good choices in life, she obviously did. Guys be kind.

    10. 12:40 wrong! She is very fluent in Spanish. Naging translator nga cya ng tatay nya nung pumunta dito ng kasal nya.

      Delete
    11. 12:40 she says mga hi hello ganyan. Sometimes short rehearsed phrases. Para sa fans marunong na yun. But she’s not fluent/conversant.

    12. English is taught to Filipinos from kindergarten to college though. Kung nagaral ka ng isang subject for at least 16 years at di mo natutunan, more likely than not mas matalino sayo yung natuto magenglish given na comparable yung access niyo sa education at resources. Our understanding of intelligence may not be perfect, but as it stands, intelligence is usually "measured" based on one's ability to reason and learn. Yung inaassociate ng mga nandito sa intelligence like conscientiousness and assertiveness are completely different traits. Just to clarify, hindi ko sinasabi na b*b* si M, cause it seems like kaya niya magcomprehend at magsalita ng english. Madami lang sa atin yung may fixation sa accent, na hindi maiiwasan na magkaroon ng variation lalo na at most of us learn english through reading. Tl;dr language learning could be an acceptable indicator of intelligence sa context ng mga pinoy cause it is widely taught and used in our day to day lives.

    4. Such a small thing made big. Pinoy siya, di Amerikana. Espanyol tatay. Si Selma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Sophia Vergara - may accents din hanggang ngayon. Its part of their identity. You want it erased to make her sound more 'American'? Hala pagtawanan niyo ang Irish, Australian, New Zealanders then.

    3. True kailangan lagi may patunayan on social.. parang masyadong defensive mafefeel mo nmn kc pag natural ang love at kilos ng isang couple pero with them something odd din talaga..parang overwhelmed cla masyado sa stature nila..takot cla na may masabi ang ibang tao sa kanila na negative

Na on the spot sita kaya hayan tuloy. Yon langnoo.

Pero napahanga ako kay Dingdong this time and sa dynamics nilang mag-asawa. THIS is how you address bashers. By showing everybody you support your wife no matter what. Highlighting her strengths and everything admirable about her. Good job Mr. Dantes.

She has everything, smart in her own way. Love her.

Kaloka kayo.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I mean, ano naman?

    1. She writes well, she reads well, she soeaks with an accent. She is Filipino, not American. If you were in the US, they would call you a rac*st. Here, it's neo colonial mentality.

      Delete
  26. It's really not about the accent. It's about the substance of what the person is saying, and marian has substance when she speaks in Tagalog. Ang iba dyan perfect American accent nga pero puro naman filler words ang gamit (um, like, you know, or something) and nawawala yung essence ng message.

Part of honing their craft to deliver good speaking lines and accents. That is if they want to reach international audience lalo na may Netflix streaming

    2. Bakit, nasa America ba siya? Translator ba siya? Her language skills re English is more than enough kasi nga nasa Pilipinas siya. Why look down on Pinoy accent? Neocolonial mentality prejudiced against your own culture na yan. May word para diyan - lingual raci*m.

      Delete
    3. Mga dzai, being an Artista dapat continuous development kasi iba ibang character ang bibigyan mo ng buhay. Onli in Pinas lang walang growth mga artista!

    2. Penelope Cruz works in Hollywood and yet her accentnis art of her charm. She is Spanish so its expected. A whole lot of Americans, British and Australian, Irish and New Zealanders also have accents that aren't american and yet - they are native english speakers. Many havebissues with grammar and diction too. You want her to be 'more American'? Ask Penelope Cruz or Salama Hayek or Sophia Vergara to do the same then. Or that guy who joined a Philippine event and can't even speak the language. Geez. 21st century na sobrang colonial mentality pa rin. Embrace your accent!

      Delete
    3. Nakapagtapos naman si Marian. Wag kang ano.

      Delete
    4. 2:35 She has to improve herself especially sa beauty nya na pansinin wherein she gets invited to attend shows and pageants. Kinuha nga yan as preliminary judge ng Miss Universe dati.

      Delete
    5. 5:58 improve to sound 'American'? She reads, speaks, writes English enough. Do we live in the US? At anong klaseng English? British, Australian, Irish or New Zealand? I live in England and half of the Brits I know do not know grammar or can spell well. The Welsh and the Scots also have an accent. Nobody pushes them to sound 'English' or American because doung so looks down on their lingua franca and culture. Have you ever heard of the British fron Cornwall and the resident Londoners with a Cockney accent? They all speak English and yet they cannot understand each other. And when an American speaks to them, the American is lost in translation. If you look down on these native English speakers, then that makes you ignorant. Worse, rac*st since your prejudiced against them.

  31. Im not a fan ng mag asawa but I dont get the hate lalo kay Marian. Yes may pag ka crass ang way / manner nya of speaking but may sense sya. Yung mga nagkocomment dito about her English, eh hindi rin siguro fluent. Feelingeras lang. Hehe……..

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  35. Marian is lucky she is gorgeous and her career path does not require her to be good at speaking in English. Sa aming mga remote workers essential ang good communication skills and to speak in a neutral accent. I'm all for self-improvement especially when you have the means, pero let's not demean people who speak with an accent at mahina sa English. Iba-iba tayo ng strengths.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Do these pinoys not understand that that they are prejudiced and biased against their own fellow Pinoys who speak with a Pinoy accent, na dapat naman? Filipino is our lingua franca, this is Pinas, not the IS. This behavior
is beyond neocolonial mentality, it's rac*st, lifting the American accent above your own.
