  9. I don’t care if that is an expensive kind of lace pero nakakatanda ang gown. Looks very dated. Mas dated pa tingnan kaysa wedding gown ni princess diana.

  19. Ang ganda pa rin ni Isabel Preysler. My mom used to talk about her when i was a kid. Isabel was a Spanish socialite born in the Philippines. She got married to Julio Iglesias but soon divorced. Siya din nanay ni Enrique Iglesias. Napaka ganda ni Isabel when she was younger kaya maraming nagkagusto. At kahit matanda na siya, maganda pa rin. Skl

    1. Correction po Filipino-Spanish po si Isabel Preysler.

    2. Susme nagbigay na nga lang ng impormasyon na as if di alam ng mga nandito, mali pa!

      Delete
    3. 1:37 nalito ka ba? nauna ung "spanish socialite" ahaha pero at least nailagay naman na "born in the Philippines." grabe si senyora, parang 50s lang. ang guapo2 ni enrique iglesias, may pinagmanahan.

      Delete
    4. Filipino Spanish si Doña Isabel. She was born rich. Her mother Beatriz Arrastia came from a family who owned the largest hacienda in Lubao while her father Carlos Preysler was a successful businessman who’s maternal family - the Perez de Tagles - belonged to the circles of old titled Spanish aristocracy (which included marquises, counts and even an empress). Distant relations include former Star Magic talent Sarita Perez de Tagle, broadway actress Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Brigadier General Rafael Crame (name sake of the well known Camp Crame)

    6. Ang liit ng face grabe

      Delete
    7. Maurice Arcache described her in an article - "Hers was an effortless kind of beauty made more lethal because it was mixed with grace, elegance and intelligence."

She was pretty when she was younger. Sobrang banat na ng face nya to the point na halos wala na cleft chin nya.

    8. There's an article at lubao.gov.ph about Isabel Preysler. Both of her grandfathers are Spanish, and no wala silang lahing Spanish nobility. Yes she's related sa Filipino Perez de Tagles, but she's not directly related sa Perez de Tagles na Spanish-Mexican aristocrats.

    9. 7:58 PM - Of course they are po. The Pérez de Tagles reached the Philippines in 1726 when Don Juan Manuel Pérez de Tagle, 1st Marquis of Las Salinas (the brother of Don Pedro Pérez de Tagle, himself the husband of Doña Manuela Sánchez de Tagle, 3rd Marchioness of Altamira) moved to the Philippines via the galleon San Cristo de Burgos, which was captained by his cousin Don Franciso Sanchez de Tagle, the General of the Manila-Acapulco Gelleon trade. Don Juan Manuel later married Ana Josefa Navea Morales de Leon in Manila and had one son, Don Luis Manuel Pérez de Tagle who succeeded his father as the 2nd Marquess of Las Salinas. Don Luis Manuel later married Maria Ignacio Blanco y Bermudez and had six children (five sons and a daughter).

Don Luis Manuel's heir apparent Don Luis Ignacio Pérez de Tagle later inherited his titles and became the 3rd Marquess of Las Salinas upon his death in 1801 and married Maria Dolores Memije y Gomez de Soares. Don Luis Ignacio died without issue on 1807. Don Luis Manuel's third son Don Pedro Manuel Pérez de Tagle who became the 4th Marquess of Las Salinas. He entered the Spanish Army at the age of nineteen and served in the War of the Pyrenees in 1793 and in the War of the Oranges in 1801. Don Pedro later served as the first representative of the Philippines in the Spanish Cortes held in Cadiz, Spain in 1812 where he fought for the interest of the Philippines. Don Luis Manuel's fourth son named Don Ignacio Maria Pérez de Tagle became the 5th Marquess of Las Salinas upon the death of his unmarried brother Don Pedro, and married Ignacia Torres and produced three children. Don Ignacio Maria's son named Don Luciano Pérez de Tagle y Torres was the grandfather of Carmen Pérez de Tagle who married Fausto Preysler - parents of Carlos Preysler y Pérez de Tagle. Isabel’s immediate family of course doesn’t have titles na, but she descends from the same noble house.

    10. Yup : ) you said it yourself 12:35AM - "The immediate family of course doesn’t have titles na". All the info you mentioned are available on Wikipedia, Geni.com, Geneanet.org. People in Spain don't care nor talk about her "noble" heritage.

Meanwhile the legit modern day aristocrat is her daughter Tamara Falco, 6th Marchioness of Griñon - after inheriting the title from her father and Isabel's ex 2nd husband Carlos Falco+, 12th Marquess of Castel-Moncayo.

      Delete
    11. 9:04 - the point I am making is how she descends from the noble House of Tagle as the “Filipino” Perez de Tagles are cadet members of the same Spanish-Mexican Perez de Tagles of the nobility. They are basically the same familial line similar how the Swedish Bruces descends from the Scottish Bruces or how the Torre de Tassos of Italy descends from the German princes of Thurn und Taxis.

  38. Ang pangit ng gawa ng gown, walang understructure/support which is very important in bridal wear. Kahit gano kaganda design and embellishments if it doesn't fit well, wala rin. Pinagmukhang pancake yung katawan ni Sofia.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Let's support this girl rather than bash her. She's being a noble lady trying to make nice chika and give respect to some prolific Filipinos with a simple conversation, obviously. What do you expect her to do, hide and be a snob for no reason? Come on, give her credit where it's due, as she seems like she's making a decent effort to earn the trust of this community in public. Common sense that she wouldn't be invited if she wasn't deserving of the invite...
