12:43 with their nationality, money, connections, etc. Kahit hindi tapos nang college, they can earn big. Pwede ring business, o kaya short courses pag magsesettle na abroad.
They're not your typical filipinos na magsisimula sa minimum wage.
2:12 not the same case for all but personally having a diploma and even going up the doctorate level opened up a lot of doors for me. Can't blame folks for thinking that way.
Hindi “pinoy obsession” yan, it’s how Asians value education and the 4-year bachelors degree. We are a third world economy, dapat lahat ivalue natin lalong lalo na ang edukasyon. It goes way back to the Confucius beliefs of east Asians. Also hintay ka maging Switzerland or Germany tayo para hindi na tayo masyadong mag sipag sa mga degree. But while the Philippines is the way it is, education pa rin ang dapat ivalue ng citizens, and strive for an ‘educated’ society.
Aminin, pag nasa pinas ka, wala kang mararating pag wala kang degree. Kahit PA, hinahanapan ng college degree. The population is too big, your education needs to stand out in order to be hired, unless yayamanin si mama at papa and you are a CEO by birthright. Or artista.
She is a songwriter just like her dad kaya sya umuwi ng pinas. I like her music and compositions pero kung ang genre mo mala-imelda papin hindi mo sya talaga mararamdaman.
@2:12 ano ba masama sa obsession sa college diploma? It is something you could be proud of dahil pinaghirapan. It adds up to your value as a person.
2:12 They have the means to finish college at hindi tulad ng ilan na no choice but to stop or kailangan pa magbanat ng buto. Hindi pa nagthathrive career ni Leila dito so natural lang na manghinayang and wish na she could have finished college muna. Iba pa rin ang nakapagtapos.
2:12 Sadly, if di mo pa alam, Master's are the new Bachelor's na these days. So if wala kang Bachelor's ngayon, sobrang mahihirapan ka if magshift ang market ulit. Take it from someone who's working and still studying kasi the globalization is making things harder for a lot of people.
I now get what 2:12 is saying, based on the beast mode reactions of the other commenters 😅 Politicians nga eh, di kailangang college grad. Pero cleaning crew kailangan high school graduate.
Great news! She got herself a degree and skills that will help her not rely on her parents. That's a sign that the parents have succeeded in raising their child.
aba dai! so okay lng na walang diploma? wala ka cguro diploma kaya galit ka. some can't afford to go to school, that is given that is why di makapagtapos, pero if kaya naman makapag aral tapos sinayang lang, iba din yun. Don't tell me na its okay na, " anak, cge go ka lng, okay lng wala kang diploma basta happy ka" . Enlighten me!
6:21 Wag ka magalit! Iba-ibang tao, Iba-ibang preferences and priorities! May sarili silang reasons at wala kang karapatang manghusga! Just be happy with what you have accomplished and the accomplishments of your family, if you have any. FYI, I have 2 degrees, 1 in another country.
Amazing! ❤️
ReplyDeleteOh wow!
ReplyDeleteArtista ba yung Leila? Bakit hindi ramdam?
DeleteTypical Pinoy obsession with a college diploma and their condescending nature to those who do not have a college diploma.

DeleteBecause yun ang requirement for applying for a job s pinas kaya kht mahirap ginagawa
DeleteBakit sayang?

DeleteIt's not a bad thing though.

DeleteDi nakatapos magaral, sayang na? Get a life.
DeleteNag-showbiz, ngayon may ka-live in.
Delete2:12 They have the means to finish college at hindi tulad ng ilan na no choice but to stop or kailangan pa magbanat ng buto. Hindi pa nagthathrive career ni Leila dito so natural lang na manghinayang and wish na she could have finished college muna. Iba pa rin ang nakapagtapos.
DeleteWhy? What is she doing right now? There are many Aussies who did not go to uni but are successful. Some of them are even multimillionaires.

DeleteAng SAYANG ay ang taxes not being utilized by the government to create an economy na mataas ang employment rate whether may college diploma or not.
Delete12:30 she is a songwriter just like OA. she has endorsements and singing gigs here and there.
Delete2:12 i agree with you. some people dont understand na pag nasa creative side ka ang hirap mag concentratre sa pag aaral.
Deletei find here really good...pang masa nga lang c ogie while leila pwede sya sa music festival

Sa mga nagsasabing hindi importante ang pag aaral are the same people na hindi nakatapos. SO ANO CREDIBILITY NIYO?
DeleteLeila is living a life, diploma probably not for her
