    5. it is likely she really doesnt know the show. maybe those around her know about the show and suggested to her names from it which she then unwittingly chose.

    8. Aaaminin na yan if talagang inspired from Bridgerton kasi napaka obvious. Most likely di talaga sya aware.

What's funny about it? She's privileged enough to take an elective anywhere in the world. 😊

Now penelope and eloise are two of the most popular names.

  2. Penelope and eloise are common name way before the so called Bridgerton… daming assumers!

    4. 10:38 those two are the most popular well-loved female characters in the show. Kahit nung season 1 pa, eloise and penelope duo na ang mraming fans.

      Delete
    5. 10:38 Just because the characters are popular doesn't mean she named her child after them.

  3. People forget Dom studied for her uni degree in London. She is very familiar with English (British) culture and of course, the names for girls. Halos once a month mommy Gretch travels to London. I think they got a flat there sa may Belgravia. Super expensive area.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, they don’t have any flat in London. Dom used to rent in central London.

      Delete
    2. 1:47 owned or rented, its super expensive, one of the most expensive real estate markets in the world. Central London studio flat rents are at a minimum, £2200, around 150kphp a month. Double that for a 1 bedroom. I live in England so I am quite familiar.

      Delete
    3. Anon 418 £2200 is not super expensive. Manhattan rent for a studio starts at $4000 sa Midtown area. Geneva also more expensive than that.

      Delete
    4. 11:25 comparative to Pinoy middle-class affordability, studio flats in London are expensive. Given that NY is a global hub with a teeming populace that doesn't match real estate availability, pricing is much higher. It is market dependant. Pero si Dom, as a Filipina international student had to pay those fees and more. Syempre being a Cojuangco her dad can afford. Still, among the Filipinos in our country, she is but a small percentage who could without the need for scholarships and grants.

Hindi kailangang fan or nanonood ka but the fact is the show popularized the name. Simple.

Wag tayong mamaru! She studied in Brent and took her degree in London, so very familiar si ate mo sa names na usual ginagamit don.

    5. 1:54 not necessarily a fan but if you named your child Mara Clara in the 90s, yes, malamang sa show talaga yun nakuha.

    1. penelope eloise kase. that's the point. yung mga best friend sa bridgerton.

      Delete
Eloise alone or penelope alone is nothing worth commenting but together? What are the odds.

Most likely the names floated to her because of the popularity of bridgerton even if hindi hiya consciously pinili because of the show.

      Delete
    3. 9:14 If that's the case, then she really haven't seen the show and didn't get it from there but from baby names sites instead. Anong issue nyo??

      Delete
  15. Penelope Eloise is a french name.

    ReplyDelete
  16. It's not that the names are uncommon, it's the combination that gives Bridgerton vibes. Tulad nga ng sabi ng Isang commenter sa taas, Mara and Clara are common names pero kapag pinangalanan lang "Mara Clara" of course people will comment in it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Guys, trust me, di lahat fans ng Bridgerton. Why do you insist on your assumption kahit nag explain na yung nanay? Di ba pwedeng coincidence lang?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  19. yes common sa UK but both the names together? That’s definitely Bridgerton. I don’t get why need ideny. It’s literally the most watched series on Netflix

    ReplyDelete
  20. people defending her are like "these names are common, she studied in uk, those are common names". like Duh! of course she heard it from somewhere and the names are more popular now because of the show, and it's odd that she combined 2 of the main characters' names

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Correct. Of course they're old names. Bridgerton is a tv series based on a historical book series. Julia quinn, the author, didn't invent the names. She used classic names because it's a historical novel.

The point is, the show, Bridgerton, popularized them again. Kahit simpleng google lang ng baby names graph and makikitang eloise and penelope shot up significantly nitong 2020s.

      Delete
  21. Feeling ko naman Dom is telling the truth, if she named them after the show's character di naman nya cguro ideny. Hahah she's too classy to lie about it diba.

    1. 8:22 isa ka pang makulit. the names are not new, nobody said they were. panoorin mo ang bridgerton para maintindihan mo bakit maraming nagsasabi na napakaweird na coincidence lang na PAGSAMAHIN ang penelope at eloise. they're ALWAYS together sa show.

      Delete
    2. 11:01 Ikaw ang hindi makaintindi.
Ang point is, hindi dapat big deal. Wala sanang noise.

  24. Nakakaloka na just because she said the name wasn't inspired by Bridgerton at hindi niya pa ito napanood, Bridgerton fans are villainizing her. Dominique, who is one of the rare celebrity children na napalaki ng disente at maayos at never nagkaroon ng negative issue at iskandalo, kinukuyog ng mga tsismosa JUST BECAUSE OF BRIDGERTON! Mas lalo ko ayaw panoorin yang show na yan.

  26. Ang babaw lang ng pinaglalaban niyo juiceko. Anak niya yan. Who cares where she got the names from.

    ReplyDelete
  27. She's too classy to lie about it haha I actually believe her!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Classy heiress does not need to lie or make up stories about anything. What's the problem?

    ReplyDelete
  29. She has no reason to deny if pinangalan nya sa show. Wala namang nakakahiya dun. And walang masama sa sinabi nya. Pinalalaki masyado. Kung fan kayo, merong ibang hindi. Sabi nya nga nagkaroon sya ng idea. Parang lumalabas nakakahiya maging Bridgerton fan kaya dinideny nya.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Eloise and Penelope are two of the most popular baby names in 2024 because of the Bridgerton show. Ganun kasimple. Hindi mo kailangang manood ng bridgerton. Hindi mo kailangan maging fan. Hindi kailangang narinig mo na yung show. Facts lang. Nothing to debate about over a fact. Much ado about nothing.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  37. I like the names. I also wouldn't assume she took them from the series as I haven't watched a single episode. I believe her

    ReplyDelete
  38. I’m one of the commenters na nasa ss about the Bridgerton-inspired name. If it isn’t so, no big deal. Why all the drama. Dominique must be so amused that people are arguing over her daughter’s name. Lol aliw lang ng thought if she named them after those 2 characters and said “dibs!” Lol
