  2. I’m scheduled to have mine removed as well. Gallbladder attacks are really painful. I often wake up in the middle of the night needing to go to the bathroom. Very painful upper abs radiating to my back. I’d often vomit as well and worst, I’d often wake up on the bathroom floor with head bruises because I would often lose consciousness while sitting on the toilet and hit my head on the door, door jamb or nearby shelf.

  3. Pardon my ignorance guys, can you vouch from someone’s or your own experience that you have gained weight once the gallbladder was removed. Thanks!

    1. I know two people who removed theirs. My husband and a friend. I can’t say for certain kasi my husband was mataba na dati pa and my friend is also on the chubby side. The only thing na nag iba is yung frequency ng bowel movement nya which is 2 to 3 times a day na.

    2. I had mine removed Nov 2020, I lost weight at first bilang natakot akong kumain dahil sa trauma ng pain before I had it removed. Eventually, naayos ko naman eating habit ko. Hindi naman ako super nag-gain ng weight but there are changes in my body like sa period ko I now experience cramp na di naman ako ganun before. My metabolism and food digestion is faster lalo kapag oily food. This is just my experience pwedeng iba naman sa iba. One thing’s for sure bye bye pain after the surgery na talaga.

    4. I had cholecystectomy on April 2022, was only 50/51kg back then. Now, 2 years later, I’m already 60kg. Fluctuating yung weight ko, when I do intermittent fasting and HIIT, bumababa ng 3-4kg ang timbang ko but when I don’t, I gain weight tlg. Mas mahirap na magpapayat pag wala ka ng gallbladder. You just really have to stick to healthy diet and exercise so you won’t gain weight. And it also depends on your age. I was already in my late 30s when I had the surgery.

I had mine back in 2012. the bowel movement is madalas esp sa first few years. then pumayat of course sa umpisa kasi parang weird na feeling kasi medyo careful ka lalo sa food kasi walang ng filter though sabi ng doctor technically walang bawal. you just have to watch what you eat. medyo nahihirapan ako iwork out yung tummy ko kasi di ko sha mapaliit. im a guy btw

    8. My husband had this procedure and after a few months he started gaining weight. He eats healthy foods and exercise too but he's having a hard time losing weight since then.

    9. My mother lost weight months after her operation since she said she always feels bloated even after eating small meals. Then afterwards, she gained weight. There were changes in her bowel movement and would often feel bloated and gassy.
