Xian has been writing and directing way back 2019 under his own film production company. And he's had other writing and directing credits since then, with Viva and elsewhere.
2.09am He did a short film before Tabon, the digital series Pasabuy, movie Hello Universe, an as yet unreleased movie shot during pandemic. He's also done commercials and music videos. Slowly but surely his body of work is growing and his talent as script writer and director keeps improving.
2:09 I wasn't aware too that he directed several films na pala including "Hello Universe" na nadadaanan ko lagi when I scroll on Netflix. Yes, I googled. You should try it, it's very informative.
12.49AM that was his first major directorial project. Like any newbie director, your early works are not your best. The fact that he was a finalist in Cinemalaya is a big enough achievement.
Napanood ko ang Cinemalaya film nito. Grabeng hype ang ginawa kasi siya ang director. Parang mas deserve pa ang film ng estudyante mapasama sa full length category sa totoo lang. Ang gulo ng transition ng film. Weak execution ng dark film na tungkol sa kulto. Nakaka-sad. Yung mga regular Cinemalaya goers devastated.
Sana lang he's a better director than actor cause d naman talaga.sya magaling na actor. Like mga coaches sa basketball na d naman lebron-level ang galing pero nakakapanalo ng teams. Pero not gonna watch so keri lang

12.12AM the man can act, sing, compose music, play multiple instruments, write scripts, direct, he's athletic and does multiple sports at high level. He can host etc. His exploration and mastery of many of his God-given talents is admirable. If you are a bible reading person then you can compare him to the servants who multiply their talents in their master's absence and receive praise for fully using what was given to them. I say, kudos Xian for this.
D nyo naman dapat ihate si xian atleast hes a man na talagang pinupursige ang talent nya at gusto talaga nya. Hindi naman sya puro paawa lang, ngayon magaglit pa din kayo hes just working.
Minsan mga pinoy ang galing mang smart-shame. If you're trying something different, sasabihin, wow e di ikaw na! or pa-deep etc. Kaya minsan with my group of friends (from high school) I always just talk about the same old topic, gossip lagi or love life, just to fit in.
I'm curious to find out who the leads of this movie will be. An overseas shoot is a big deal. Good luck Xian, Viva and all involved. Congrats team XL8 for gaining the trust of your movie's backers.
Xian Lim does not need Iris Lee to get his works out. She is a member of his production team and a friend. The few hateful people slandering her and Xian Lim have their own agendas for doing so. I say, shame on you all.
