How long can this take Pia? One needs a direct relationship with brands to keep being invited and at some point invited to showrooms as an individual not part of press. Exactly. Last year was really just a vogue invite not a Pia invite, you can really see the difference now that she’s not riding the press invite. She was able to gain press entry yet again on Dior because of Vogue Germany. But kudos to her for networking and trying to make connections through these publications. Girl influencers are hired to convert. Walang paki ang brand sa impressions at sangkatutak na views and engagements mo kung di ka makakabenta. Brands can buy those metrics at cheaper costs. Influencers are brought in as converters because of their supposed targeted reach. Only big stars in level of kpop ang pang awareness and reach building. Kayong mga pobreng fans don’t know anything tapos lakas makatalak about these vanity metrics?
What background and connections are you talking about? Until now she relies on Press invites and kitanaman sa Balmain she was seating at the back those are mundane invites or bought. For this industry you really need to spend first to build a relationship. The press or publications won’t always favor you. But even then, you are a no name to the brand if you are always invited through press, not even as Press (where influencers fall). Heart started her FW not as press but as a buyer. That in itself is the biggest difference. I really hope Pia can sustain this because her every FW is an investment on her part because she is not paid!

DeleteI remember that Heart chose not to get into the shows by getting a press pass, even though its easier, because she respects the fact that its supposed to go to fashion journalists. Iba talaga pag passion mo talaga and nirrespect mo yung industry.
Delete11:38 Heart did not start with a press pass. She started as a customer. She built relationships with brands directly and Pia? She’s invited through publications, she’s not even a potential patron. How long can this take Pia? One needs a direct relationship with brands to keep being invited and at some point invited to showrooms as an individual not part of press. This would require a lot of investment from Pia’s end. And this could take years of money going out!

Nagtataka ako kasi this PFW, parang ang bagal ni P mag upload, like during Dior, ang dami ng videos ni H during her arrival, tapos kay P, kahit sa fan accounts nya wala. Nakadating na si Jisoo, no photos or vids pa rin kay P. I assumed na di sya invited, tapos andun pala sya, pero not that much coverage kaya ganun or hindi lang active fans din nya? This is her first attendance sa Dior show. Maybe that's the difference this PFW, last time she was very visible kasi she's with Vogue PH. I also read somewhere na un Gucci show where P and Tim Yap were, is for press invite, may invite din daw si H pero ni turn down nya since it's for press.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Last year was really just a vogue invite not a Pia invite, you can really see the difference now that she’s not riding the press invite. She was able to gain press entry yet again on Dior because of Vogue Germany. But kudos to her for networking and trying to make connections through these publications. Pero iba parin yung tira ni Hearty because she’s building relationships directly with the brands. Na overwhelm so accla last year because everything was organized by Vogue PH. Now that there’s no Vogue backing her up she needs to find her footing in Paris.

DeleteGirl influencers are hired to convert. Walang paki ang brand sa impressions at sangkatutak na views and engagements mo kung di ka makakabenta. Brands can buy those metrics at cheaper costs. Influencers are brought in as converters because of their supposed targeted reach.

DeleteUntil now she relies on Press invites and kitanaman sa Balmain she was seating at the back those are mundane invites or bought.
For this industry you really need to spend first to build a relationship. The press or publications won’t always favor you. But even then, you are a no name to the brand if you are always invited through press, not even as Press (where influencers fall).
Heart started her FW not as press but as a buyer. That in itself is the biggest difference. I really hope Pia can sustain this because her every FW is an investment on her part because she is not paid!
Yung mga fans naman ni Pia Wala naman mga spending account yan….Hindi rin bagay ang “Pia made me do it”. Mas bagay pakingan at dun tayo sa orig na “Heart Made Me Do It!!!”
