Nakaikot na po sila sa buong India bago nangyarinyun , nag kataon lang na nagtent sila sa isang delikadong lang lugar, grabe naman mentally na pag lapag ng India marape ka na. Racist yan sis. Yung victim na nag sabi kahit saan sa mundo pwede mangyari yun hindi dahil nasa India sila.
Nag camping na rin kami sa maraming lugar sa India, though in legit campsites , we felt safe naman. Even one time kami lang ang guest, my husband and dog. Yung lugar where they pitched their tent is not safe even for locals, even Indian tourists will not go there. Nagkataon lang yun ang route papuntang Nepal. It should not happen kung saan lugar ka man but there are places talaga na people are more brazen. Yung Delhi belly, di naman siguro pupunta sa Megan sa chaotic places na parang tondo lang. She will be staying in a 5 star hotel for sure, hatid sundo pa yan ng chauffer.
Unfortunately, your chances of getting raped in India is considerably higher than any other tourist-friendly country. Hindi unang rape victim yung spanish influencer. Also, statistics say one person gets raped every 18 mins in India. I wouldn't trav to India ng walang kasama tbh

11:52AM is right. Talagang rape is far more common in India by virtue that women dont have many rights there while men are of elevated status, tapos sex-deprived most males. Unlike dito madaming options may mga promiscuous and people can have premarital sex.
You can say that the probability of getting rape in India is high but the country is large with a large population and to make a sweeping generalisation about the country and its people is not okay. I went around Delhi by myself and stayed alone in a hotel though I am a woman and a foreigner I was safe and did not felt any threat. The taxis drivers or concierge’s that I met were okay and were nice to me. I didn’t feel unsafe. It’s matter of bad luck bad situation, place and opportunity for mischief.
