I know Vogue is trying to be have more depth by not always featuring mainstream. Pero business-wise for the most part (not ms medved huh) they feature hindi sikat. In the end the goal of the magazine is to sell. So I hope this is a sustainable model. But I noticed now they are featuring more celebrities than they did before when they started out.
Proper fashion magazines used to do that though. Feature proper models or society personalities. It's only in recent times that celebrities dominated all publications. In saying that, I wonder when print magazines will go extinct?
The Darna of my generation. And ang babaeng humiram ng mukha courtersy of Christopher De Leon.
Unlike Gretchen who stood her ground at hindi talaga nagpadala sa pressure nila Lolit.
Inay! Ako 'to, si Carissa! Tingnan mo, maganda na ako! Hindi na ako mukhang unggoy! Tapos may ari na ako ng pagawaan ng tuna sa lata at nasa magazine pa ako!
You know, I really love what Vogue PH is doing... Choosing women who are classy and have a purpose, hindi yung basta sikat lang, madaming followers sa socmed at mahilig sa branded clothes. I really like na yung mga nilalagay nila sa covers nila don't have loud personalities. I hope they keep it up.
They need diversity though. It still is a fashion and lifestyle magazine. Girl, if that person made a mark or name of her own, or made a contribution in a certain field, then why not feature them as well.
Understated class.
ReplyDeleteGenuine class and elegance. Watch her Fast Talk with Boy Abunda interview.
ReplyDeleteMaganda Yun pose ng body nya but her smile or facial expression looks creepy.
ReplyDeleteThat's her signature malaki talaga mouth nya

DeleteThe daughter of a Russian dad and a Chinese mom.

ReplyDeleteClassy and smart. I love watching her interviews. Never a dull moment. Happy for the way this turned out for her. She’s a trailblazer.
ReplyDeleteFor me, before Angel, si Nanette tlga ang standard ng Darna. Fierce, sexy na hindi bastuain ang aura.
ReplyDeleteA classic cover. Nanette looks timeless.

DeleteOk na sana eh kaso may pasaring sa gitna. So cheap of you.
