ReplyDeleteCatriona Gray may be our most loved Miss U pero Pia is the most famous Miss Universe, oh yes dahil the wrong announcement ng Miss U that time. Hindi siya ganun ka-active dito sa Pinas because international ang mga gigs niya. So many fans who dont like her discredit her sa pag angat niya bilang fashion influencer dahil hindi nila alam iyong pinaghirapan niya or nakalimutan na nila pinagdaanan niya.

ReplyDeleteAng hilig mang okray ng mga Pinoy sa accent. Di natin first language ang English mga ses at iba-iba tayo ng upbringing, status at educational background. I currently work with American clients and used to work with people from various nationalities, walang okrayan ng accent- just pure respect, professionalism at hustle lang. Not everyone is fortunate to grow up in private schools or even watch Hollywood movies for us to imitate their way of speaking. Being multilingual is already a blessing. Yung mga American accent na gusto nyo, most of them are monolingual and are not even that good with written communication.

ReplyDeleteMaging mas vocal ka nalang Pia about your advocacy. Ok lang ipagmalaki advocacies mo, use your platform to tell people about it. Gets ko bakit walang believe sa advocacy mo yung iba. Ako mismo when i visit your IG and see the HIV something line on your bio, I get a 3-second pause na "what, HIV advocate sya?" then i finally remember you mentioned it during miss U competition. Wala masyadong recall sa advocacy mo yung mga tao. Yung Miss U mention lang memory ko, and I'm a fan, albeit not a superfan.

Delete209 true. Pia used to be my fave Ms U winner pero hindi na. Mas angat kasi talaga c Catriona pagdating sa advocacy. Hindi ako fan nung sobrang madada ni Catriona pero infairness sa kanya, totoo nman yung advocacy nya kesa dito kay Pia na gagamitin lang kapag convenient sa kanya. Nakakaloka!

I remember lang kasi nung hindi pa sya Miss Universe, starlet lang sya non, hindi talaga sya iniinvite sa table ng mga IT people before sa clubs. Malay daw ba nila na magiging Miss Universe pala.
