DeleteKung sa pagiging gwapong suplado, yes bagay kay Jake. Pero the character is not just that and unfortunately kulang pa sa acting skills si Jake. Paulo is a much better actor, and also a smart one. Mukhang mas marunong syang bumagay, tumanggap, at mag-adjust sa ibibigay ni Kim (who is delightful in this role bilang ito talaga ang genre nya). Watched the original and malaking factor kasi talaga yung saluhan nung dalawang leads kaya nag-work yung show. I don't think Jake is in that level yet to pull this off. Too guarded and stiff pa.

ReplyDeleteIMO they have diluted what could have been a great adaptation by experimenting with Pau in this role. He can't even seem to make eye contact with Kim in most of the shots. No wonder VIU and Dreamscape are pushing stills. Their gamble didn't pan out. Pao was under too much pressure & the hype dud him in. Time to deflate those egos.

ReplyDeleteYep, that was the best bit so far. Kulang pa sa pagiging narcissistic si vice chairman pero I can let it pass. Teaser pa lang naman ito. I have a feeling, parang diesel engine si Paulo dito. Rooting for Kim to make the adjustments needed para maganda ang maging saluhan sa mga mauunang episodes.
