He makes fun of filipino culture but he also makes fun of koreans, latinos, chinese, etc. He is a comedian after all. Mas marami lang siyang filipino content because his mom is filipino.

He is a comedian, don’t take it to offense if he is making fun of Filipino culture. Other comedians do that too, if they are Italian, they make fun of their own personal Italian experience like Sebastian. Don’t take it too personal that he is attacking Filipinos. Sa totoo lang, ang laki ng nagagawa ni Jokoy for the sake of Filipino representation in the US and pati na rin sa buong mundo. But for me, wasted opportunity pa rin kasi he only showcases yung mga katatawanan sa Filipinos. He wasted his chance to flex on all the good things we can offer like, telling the world about how great a performer Gary V is, or that we have shows like Eat Bulaga na super tagal na or that meron tayong JLC, Dingdong Dantes, Piolo Pascual, Angel Locsin and Bea Alonzo, great actors na pwedeng pang international. I mean andaming pwede ipambatcher bukod sa mahilig tayo sa kanin, Vicks, takeout, videoke, adobo at mahilig tayong maingay in public, etc... ReplyDeleteSa totoo lang, ang laki ng nagagawa ni Jokoy for the sake of Filipino representation in the US and pati na rin sa buong mundo. But for me, wasted opportunity pa rin kasi he only showcases yung mga katatawanan sa Filipinos. He wasted his chance to flex on all the good things we can offer like, telling the world about how great a performer Gary V is, or that we have shows like Eat Bulaga na super tagal na or that meron tayong JLC, Dingdong Dantes, Piolo Pascual, Angel Locsin and Bea Alonzo, great actors na pwedeng pang international. I mean andaming pwede ipambatcher bukod sa mahilig tayo sa kanin, Vicks, takeout, videoke, adobo at mahilig tayong maingay in public, etc... I mean, andaming chances na hindi tayo i-shame sa mga quirks natin as pinoys... tama si gretchen... wasted chance tlg.

ReplyDeletei wasn't talking solely about gg, i was talking about jokoy’s wasted opportunities as a whole (di nmn sya nag joke about bigas sa gg noh?)— with what gretchen said naman, marami tlg syang wasted chances sa gg kasi there are greater ways to show his wits than the low blows pertaining to Barbie, sayang how he delivered his jokes especially after kabahan sa pag palpak sa una dahil lahat naman kinakabahan at pumapalpak, but he is better than that, he could have taken that as an opportunity to dust it off and do better…
DeleteIn summary, jokoy isnt ready pa siguro sa ganung audience bec even sa post awarding— he humbled himself and explained?!! Parang wala tlg syang confidence for that kind of stage… Anthony Anderson wouldn't be asked to explain his jokes maganda or pangit…
